I was forced to retire my old iPad (unable to update to higher iOS :( ) and has planned to buy a new pad (certainly not a closed system this time :) ). Since the pad would be mostly used at home I don't care about whether it has 5G or not. WiFI is good enough for me. Also, I would like to try the new HarmonyOS, for which I, as an experienced Java developer, would like to try to develop some my own app someday. BTW, What would be the price range for Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 (couldn't seem to find the price anywhere) ?

Android 12 will just make these features built in just like Split screen multitasking incorporated on Android late when Samsung and other Chinese brands already had it built in with third party apps making it possible on other devices

[deleted post]I'm not defending THEM(Apple), I'm criticizing Chinese OEMs that are wannabe Apple. I'm criticizing Chinese OEMs that just blatantly ripoff things.
They can't even make their own designs. It's disgusting.

It's funny how you selectively ignore things.
The next Android is coming with extensive privacy settings, I wonder where it comes from.

The average Android budget flagship has better HRR screen, bigger cameras, faster charging, more advanced software features, customizability, etc.
Even the most expensive iPhone fails to give you this.

People rejected iOS coz they don't want a backward outdated device.

[deleted post]That's why their consumer base are unhappy at the moment. They haven't brought any new innovation in a long time. They like to play safe. It's their business.
I don't care about them as I'm not a potential customer.

Then why r you complaining about it in the first places even when the design element can be changed on Android but not on iOS?

Apple likes to control their customers how their phones should be used. That's their problem. They aren't just blatantly copying things. Even if they copy features, they work on it to make it theirs. Their OS is different from Android.
AND Android also copy things from iOS. It's not a one way road. It doesn't matter to me if both OSes copy features from each other. It happens in every industry and it's normal.

[deleted post]I am from India. There are lot of guys who were previously using Apple or Samsung flagships. Last year, They wanted an upgrade, were disappointed with the Exynos inside Samsung and lackluster leaks of the iPhone 12.

These folks seemed super happy with their decision to avoid Samsung and Apple last year. Plenty of them saved around Rs.40k by ditching weak iPhone 12 Pro Max in favor of Mi 10 ultra. So this year with the worldwide mi 11 Ultra launch, they know which brand they going to stick to.

Android phones are so cheap that no one even considers iPhone. Pricing is the biggest factor people buy Android phones.
No one cares about what features those phones bring, they don't care about theme stores and such.
All it comes down to what specifications(camera, gaming prowess) a phone offers for a price.

When you just copy paste, you don't need to invest money to hire experts. Thus, they are able to sell at lower prices.
