[deleted post]Samsung and Apple, over the past decade, have tricked you and many others to pay more for phones you think is more durable when it's not.
The Samsung phones are build in the same way as many chinese manufacturers including Xiaomi.
They are even made in same areas and same factories with the same materials.
To be fair, the consumers across the globe have paid too much for phones manufactured in China but with a Samsung label.

For the business it may be relevant but for Technology that gets obsolete in few 2-3 years in the smartphone world, customers don’t bother investing more than $300 - $600 in Android and yet they get the maximum value for their money, freedom to upgrade anytime without having to worry about blowing their wallets !!

[deleted post]They took some good ideas from Android and incorporated into their OS. It's other way around too. This is how a fast moving industry works.
BUT they don't just simply copy-paste, they seamlessly integrate into their OS. They still need to work on it. Their development team works on it.
How much effort is it to just straight out copy-paste without making any modifications?
That's just cheap and lazy and that's what all these Chinese brands amount to.

Look at iBoyzz Going crazy on the Internet sharing their home screens and their new found ability of widgets.
The moment they knew it was added, they couldn't stop jumping on it.
While you guys were the ones always saying in the past that iOS users are not bothered by it. They don't need customization.
Therefore proving that iOS users get all the latest features served to them as leftovers from Android. Android users finish their meal as they get served first while iOS gets breadcrumbs and leftovers

Ok wow this time I would be on apple's side if they sue Huawei. The whole thing is not just similar, it IS an iPadOS clone! No seriously. It's a clone. Widgets, clock, battery icon and position, the dock, all the icons, the fonts. This is an iPad clone. Such a shame cos it's an otherwise promising tablet. People who say otherwise clearly haven't touched an ipad the last 3 years

Speaking of the elefant, mate pad pro is interesting but not as pro as apple, and that limitation to 512gb including your separate 256 GB NMcard that is very expensive and hard to find locally is very hard to choose it.

If there's a website that's general to everyone like Steam, that allows users to easily DL or purchase apps on the android OS, this Hwawei OS will kick off well.
Currently Android OS method of sideloading apps is PITA. Make it more win10 like and from a public service easy to access. Android authority or Android police sites not very user friendly.

In 2021, it looks like they are breathing new life in the tablet world with some software overhauls.
As you said, manufacturers are also showing good interest.
The day won't be far when Android establishes it's authority in the tablet segment just like they did in the smartphone segment.
