There is no information on the physical size of the screen unit. Rumors point at a 5" one.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2012It's really not that huge. At least for most for starters. ... moreFYI, I own a SGS3 n I'm 6'2'' with large hands n the SGS3 at 4.8'' still feels comfy in my hands, tho I hav used smaller phones b4! However, I'm not sure how many ppl (including YOU) wud feel comfy with a 6'' "phone"! Think it over pal...My rant isn't soo mch abt the screen size as it is abt the battery life of most high end phones these days! The poor battery life on most devices renders all the fabulous specs almost useless!

For everyone that not like the 5" screen can buy another sony product that use 4.3 - 4.6 inch display. This is SONY not iPhone. In 1 year sony can produce much phones from 3.5 inch - 4.6 inch and maybe next year with 5 inch. This "Yuga" not the only one that sony create for next year :D

AnonD-68354, 15 Oct 2012Ya i agree with most others here, smartphone sizes r gettn ... moreIt's really not that huge. At least for most for starters. The biggest issues is when holding a smaller phone prior and then picking up a big phone just makes it seem massively bigger than it is. Although you have a better number of larger displays there way way way way way way way way way more smaller screened phone. Quit complaining. Dont want one dont get one.

Ya i agree with most others here, smartphone sizes r gettn ridiculously big n inconvenient 4 most ppl! If they continue this way, soon smartphones wud begin 2 look more like the original big, clunky Motorola brick phones from the 70s wich were d grand daddies of modern cell phones! Slimming down the bezel does help in makin d device more compact, but all the manufacturers must realize that the gargantuan screen sizes r not very ergonomic nor convenient! 5 inches is the maximum allowable size that a device can be called a "phone"! I keep sayin this over n over, but I think ALL the manufacturers need 2 make a concerted effort 2 improve battery life instead of jst goin on bloating up useless specs! Wats d point in havin sch stellar specs if the device can't even stay on beyond a few hours??? The right trend wud be 2 improve battery life and optimize the use of the specs with appropriate software so as 2 provide a seamless, smooth n enduring experience! It's gotta be the complete package, a rapidly leaking tank (battery) doesn't really do that!

Really nice if it's 5" 1080p. This would be a replacement of my Xperia S. Sony might introduce this Sony flagship smartphone during World Mobile Congress Feb. next year at Barcelona (again?).

AnonD-27765, 15 Oct 2012Who wants to carry a phone with a 5-inch screen? And I hope... moreA lot of sgs3 owners want to carry a 4.8 inch screen, and Moto Razr M and Razr HD has proved that slimming down the bezel will make a compact phone. Meaning the Yuga with 5 inches can be made considerably smaller than sgs3. Then its not too big, no problem

This is quite disappointing when they could have just skipped the T-Tx series and just made this Yuga directly. I know T/Tx performance is not bad at all but somehow they are kind of outdated in today's standard with all the quad core S4 Krait being released by LG and others. My point is, if other OEM's could use it now then why Sony could not?
I'm a fan of Sony but I'm bit frustrated of their flagships. But I will still wait for V's review and weigh my options when released.

bah... not trilled.. yes is nice.. yes sounds great... but i'm so mad at sony (they are becoming like that father who only makes promises but never do anything in real life..)... you see, they have not released the xperia V.. and is kinda obsolete already.. i mean, look at the lg-L9, or the last ones from motorola, even the note II.. they are all quad core, and 2GB ram... it kinda feels like sony announced this and it will come out a year later when all other will be thinking on 8GB ram or even 8-cores... hopefully they will move faster this time...

1080p or Full HD coming to mobile displays is good. But am shocked how come Sony of all decided to take the desperate jump to 5" or more phone size! 5" may still be considerably okay with respect to the already existent Note II. But rumors of a 6" seems a bit way too much! I really hope they stop at 5" & don't just blindly follow 'the competition'. Sony, please don't get so lost in competition that you go overboard.

What's next after 5 inches? A 6-inch screen? Soon smartphones will be obsolete and all phones will be the size of a tablet. Don't manufacturers know that 4.5 inches should be the maximum size for a PHONE screen and it should never increase from that?

720p on a 4.3-4.7" would be enough. Anything in the range of 5" will make the device a phablet. And, I don't think a pixel density density that much would be perceived as it is by the human eyes. I'm already satisfied with my Jincy Joseph P's HTC One X's screen much more than any other screen currently available in the market.

Who wants to carry a phone with a 5-inch screen? And I hope they have apps that fit that 1080p resolution. Technology is good but sometimes it's getting ridiculous. Some phone manufacturers just love to outclass others by bringing in more specs to their devices but don't know how to do it right.
