SD 888 ran super fine and didn't shutter a bit even after one hour of Genshin Impact whereas iPhone with A14 gave in to throttling after just 5 minutes. Go check Techtablet's analysis on YouTube.

Imma need a new phone next year with the following
Primary: 1 inch camera sensor with variable f/1.5-2.4 aperture 50MP is fine
6.7 to 6.8 inch LTPO display with 0-120Hz refresh rate. Anything above 120 is useless for phones. 165Hz would look great on a computer monitor, but be a battery hog on a phone.
Snapdragon 995/999 or whatever the new chip comes with
LTE Cat24 2.5Gbps downlink, with say 300Mbps uplink
5G mmWave with snapdragon x65 modem, 10Gbps downlink
5 Ah or more battery with 65w or 100w charging. anything lower than 50w is crap.
512GB, 12GB ram. Who needs more rem? 16geebee? Y tho? Dedicated Micro SD is totally required! Wanna slap in a 1TB card from Sandisk! UFS 3.1 is pretty good today.

Oh the price. Should be around 1.5k for the 512GB option. I'd take it in a heartbeat.

4nm using Samsung fabrication, won't buy it though because it will be another overheating piece of silicon. Stop being so cheap and buy the 5nm TSMC capacity. Look at AnandTech review of 888, it's a mess because Samsung made it. 870 is the latest chipset I would buy from 8xx series if they keep using inferior Samsung fabrication.

Then comes the AMD with the consumer and server chips. They are going to build their new factory in Arizona.

This will a custom chip based off Arm9 unlike 888 which is reference design Arm8. Also keep in mind that not all or maybe none of the manufacturers will have all of the soc features enabled. That has always been the case in the past.

People go with the same brand because it works for them. If it doesn't satisfy them they will buy another brand. For me a phone powered by Snapdragon is miles better. Never faced any issues. Used Exynos and Kirin and MediaTek. They can't beat Snapdragon in terms of stability and update support.

The Snapdragon 888 operates hotter on avg compared to Snapdragon 865. Again more battery savings, better sustained performance.
The main camera of Mi 11 Pro is better on paper, but the Omnivision sensor isn't bad either. It gives reliable images and is a great all round camera system.
