Samsung will start producing foldable OLED panels for Google, vivo and Xiaomi in October

The company was also supposed to supply Oppo, but that particular model was pushed back to 2022. Talks with Huawei also fell through.

Still works. Still can help me make a min of $1000/month working as a freelance editor. Also, still gets updates since it's a window. Barely feels laggy sometimes.
One of the best investments I've ever made. I did buy it for $1000 back then though of course.

I'll never understand why people want to put up with fragile and overcomplicated foldables for the sake of an extra inch or so of display.

They might have the SoC advantage, but most of that won't translate into better cameras (than the competition), much better gaming, or better performance where its needed (shooting 8k, shooting RAW video or other things) etc.
iPhone was one of the last to the 4k party, as well as pretty late to the 10-bit video too (Sony was first time and then there was Samsung).

I guess the phones have to have a reason to continue the price creep, but personally I could live on phones like the Pixel 4a and Q3 Pro.

It would be great to finally start seeing foldables in the mid and premium mid range categories. And Samsung displays could help ritu colour accuracy, brightness and refresh rates being similar to regular smartphone displays.
