Google Messages end-to-end encryption no longer in beta

Google first announced secure messaging back in November, but the feature is now available to all Messages users.

Google has not commented any sort data collection like whatsapp until now, so we should believe might be the second alternative to IMing

                Yeah right. The NSA have extremely big server farm, and advanced processing technology division (see wired article years back) to easily crack normal encryption.

                How do you safely pass a key?

                Notice they are trying to force it to go through wifi where the stream. Does this go through Google servers? Where the NSA have infrastructure (see articles on court cases some years ago, which were settled, and then after privacy dropped off a cliff).

                Notice the undermining compromises on using it through regular infrastructure. Why use that, when you can tie people to your platform, and leave normal messaging infrastructure die. Already,, many phones don't support 'video calls'.

                          Why do they keep adding bloat to the messages app instead of having a separate chat app. Thank God I switched away from stock android.
