Hello Life, 17 Jun 2021more than fast charging, i think we should have the option ... moreI have 5W charger, 10W charger and 18W charger for my Redmi Note 7 Pro. When I am in a hurry I use the 18W charger. For night charging I use 5W.
The only problem is, I keep forgetting and just keep it on charge with whatever is nearby

AnonD-986036, 17 Jun 2021Sure, it will have an high end components. But specs are 33... moreTrue

If the company can give a warranty on the battery or at least a battery replacement policy for at least 2 years, I am not buying.

New Dell PCs come with a 160W charger. Laptops comes with a 65W charger.

TEtech, 17 Jun 2021I don't understand your point? Are u agreeing with me ... moreYour assumption that it's h@rmful based on what? Heat??
Even 120W charging peak Temps are same as 65W chargers or 20W chargers.
Infact lower Watt chargers stay at higher temperatures longer because of long charging times also those regular batteries aren't designed to handle higher Watt charging, thereby detoriate faster compared to batteries designed for higher Watt fast charging.
I get it, you are stuck on a phone with path€tic low Watt charging, it's time you upgrade and stop hating.

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2021No it isn't. Take your fear mongering elsewhere I don't understand your point? Are u agreeing with me that it's not more harmful, or are you saying it is?

infinix just announced through his facebook page in nigeria that they are indeed working on a 160 watt ultra fast charging that just sounds crazy i hope they take measures on how to downgrade the speed like sony's.

Sure, it will have an high end components. But specs are 33% of story. The rest is needed like optimizations and experience. Infinix doesn't have any experience in the flagship market. So maybe they wouldn't do great. Also, Infinix doesn't have great software record, so that may be an problem too if those specs aren't optimised properly.

more than fast charging, i think we should have the option to regulate the speed of charging. In an emergency, sure we can appreciate the 160w 10 mins full charge, but for regular use and to keep our battery healthy we should have the option to tone it down to 20w, 1 and half hour of charging, or maybe even the option to trickle charge, so that we can charge it over night.
