yuuup, 18 Oct 2012isn't it amazing that all us so called android fanboys want... moreThis is by far the only guy who actually seems to understand where nokia failed. Back then, i would look at my stupid symbian nokia 5800 xpress music and think "wow, did i really just waste that much money on a symbion touchscreen instead of android, it wasn't even hardware that got my concerned?"

Tried an android and never wanted to change. That's where they went wrong. They were arrogant, they were not willing to accept android. But what's the difference here? Why did they go windows but not android? the only one who would benefit from nokia either going windows or google IS WINDOWS AND GOOGLE.

They decided to go WINDOWS, which is still new and by many still considered a fruit that is not yet RIPE. But what does nokia do? They do exactly that what you shouldn't do, try to start from scratch (good) on a PRODUCT THAT IS STILL STARTING FROM SCRATCH (windows phone 8).

Had they started from scratch (good) and went for an os that is RIPE (good) then good + good is GREAT!

What they have right now is good + bad(gambling money). And when you go for gambling, then crap might ALWAYS hit the fan. So that was solely your fault nokia. You did this to yourself. I even would have stayed loyal to you have you gone android. Regardless of what the others say. Symbion or maybe not even meego would have helped them with this.

I guarantee you noka, a lumia 920 WITH ANDROID OS....

just do it and you'll see your success.

Let me guess though, you won't do it.

I'm out

MeeGo Takeover, 18 Oct 2012See what happens when you kill off an OS that could even be... moreMeego WAS the future. Imagine if it was into its third version now on Nokia handsets? With an app store like Google Play, it would be pretty damn good.
Soon, Microsoft will likely buy Nokia I think.

BenJoe, 18 Oct 2012Android + PureView Tech + PureMotion HD+ display + Quad cor... moreOnly it is impossible to implement PureView Phase 1 tech into anything but Symbian. We've even never seen a proper implementation of xenon flash into anything but Symbian.

Also, that kind of phone you are talking about would need to have much larger battery and camera hump, so the majority of people would opt for SGS 3 and similar, since this device would have been at least twice as thick as SGS 3, and much heavier too. The thickness also means that the screen can't go forever in size and 4.2-/4.3 inches is probably max, so one more + for SGS 3.

See what happens when you kill off an OS that could even beat Android Elop? This is you and your team's doing.

If you push Windows Phone to the backburner and move back to MeeGo as the primary OS, you'll be on top of the cell phone world. Even more than Android. It will take a while but it would happen.

                      MeeGo is the Future

It's really a shame to see Nokia in this situation. I used to be a loyal customer for the last 7 years when I'd see no other phone than Nokia. But when I realized my Symbian phone had met the end of the road and Windows 7.5 wouldn't meet my needs (I wouldn't wait more weeks just to find out if WM8 would suit me) I just accepted a deal on Android I couldn't leave. It's really a shame because Nokia isn't only not getting new.customers but they're also losing even their most loyal ones. I still respect them and I wish them the best, but I really hope they come with something better, decently priced and attractive enough to catch customers. And for that matter Mr. Elop isn't the best choice.

Generally we all know that windows phone 8 is not out yet nokia made a loss but it is smaller than the loss they made last quarter,Lumia sales are slowing down because people are waiting to buy lumia 920 and 820 for HEVENS sake am i the only one who see the actual logic in this post ?

Hmm... yes still grim times for Nokia. Good that they have the cash reserves to keep up the losses for another few quarters, but they really need a faster turnaround!

The drop in Lumia sales is no surprise, with the WP7.5/7.8 debacle. C'mon Nokia, you can dooo it! :D
