Anonymous, 24 Jun 2021IPhone loses similar value in percentages when compared to ... moreIt's not really. People keep bringing that up, but if you compare 900€ iPhone to 900€ Android phone, the later will drop in value significantly faster. iPhone will go for 600-700€ after 1 year, same priced Android will probably be worth less than 500€.

Anonymous, 24 Jun 2021That is the selling point 👉 the Apple logo. I bet if their... moreIt's not. Well, it is for basic hoes who flex with mass produced gadgets like iPhone. I got it for entirely different reasons and really couldn't care less what logo or branding it has on the back, I got it for the features it offers, not for the logo. The fact I'm still using XR tells I just don't give a damn. It's fast, it fulfills are my needs and still gets all the software updates and features latets models get. I'll most likely keep running it until Apple makes a model without notch with seamles display and probably with underdisplay selfie camera. I might also go with Android again just out of curiosity because I tend to do that when I get bored of the device. But with new cool stuff released by Apple and received every year through updates kinda keeps me away from doing that. I've never been so excited about new OS updates on any Android phone as I do on iPhone. It's just cool and doesn't cost a thing. And batter still lasts well over a day with only 80% charge. Can't really complain.

They believe in giving users what they want, unlike apple which believes in taking everything away from you.

The high resale value is because of the initial price being high.

They don't care how inferior the actual product is compared to other flagships.
Tomorrow if these same movie stars buy 100$ smartphones ,will you start considering those products as better?

I opened the box, it's value didn't drop by 30-40%... You still can't purchase it below 1000$.

Buy the 21U for $1200 today. No way you can sell it for $700 by Xmas.
Because till then, person can buy brand new for bit more than this.
Same goes for any android flagship.
Stores get afraid of not selling all phones and start to cut prices, while the OEM keeps price for much longer on their website and at their stores.

Anonymous, 24 Jun 2021Shame the iPhone 13 lacks UID. At least put the fingerprint... moreBecause the iPhone has a very secure facial recognition unlock, that is far better in daily use than any UDF from other manufacturers.
I am assuming that Apple's UDF would be also better than most.

It's the best selling phone in the world and it has by far the most loyal customer base for a good reason.

FatShady, 24 Jun 2021this year only new screens, next year a fps a cameras, how ... moreThe difference is huge in many Android phones except Samsung. So you’re basically milked in buying flagships more often and the depreciation is huge. Only Samsung has decent depreciation rates. So buy a Mi 11 Ultra for $1400 and the moment you open the box you’ve lost 30-40% the value.
