LG Nexus 4 (E960) might have a 16GB version after all

19 October, 2012
A recent leak suggests the next Nexus phone might actually have a 16 gig version beside the 8GB one.

i was only ever thinking of buying the base model for $299 but if i'm going to splurge then of course it'll just have to be the one with 16gb storage for $349. finally no shame for using t-mobile.

Reading all the comments about android being laggy, it seems that people are too harsh towards android. We have to understand all the fragmentation which google has to create since they are open sourced. They are trying their best not to lock down their OS by using "blacklisting" method instead of "whitelisting" (in terms of programming, it means that "blacklisting" they fix anything that might slow down the OS instead of "whitelisting" only allowing those that doesnt slow down the OS to run.) In this case, there's an endless possibility of things that google has to account for since it is open sourced and has to run off so many different manufactured products and having to support so many different carrier bloatwares. Without being open sourced, how would we get all the different apps to customize our phone based off our own liking? Also, android is all about customization isnt it?

Personally, I think google has come very far in providing as much lag free, customization options and speed to their customers since their first android version. Even studies shows that android apps only crash as much as (or maybe less than) iOS apps and yet lots of apple users says that their iphone does not crash while so many says that android crashes alot. Aren't we a little too harsh on android?

Just throwing in my two cents. On a side note, the Nexus 4 made by LG while running full vanilla android should be pretty awesome. No bloatwares of any kind and the beast hardware should make this phone as close to lag-free as possible. I think they would stick with their usual 16GB + no micro sd. Hopefully release a 32GB version later.

Wow you guys are just sad, I use the Galaxy Nexus for 6 months now, and never ever had problems with it, got all the latest updates fast and seamlessly, I have nearly 150 apps, and non crash my phone or zap me with adds all the time like my iPad 2 (a bad gift might I say). I never root my devices, just use a custom launcher, widgets organize everything, no need to switch between apps all the bloody time.
I hope this helps anyone thinking of switching from Apple.

Root your phone and delete the un-needed files.
Reboot and factory reset twice a week will keep the speed up.
Then i dare u to say it lags.

Don't move the screens that fast to make it lag as well.

We weren't worried about it before.

Google listerned right? We ask for longer battery life now, Google listerned.

Key Lime Key is the answer and making it more lag free as well.

People shouldn't need to move the screens around so fast either to make it lag, just to make a point as well.

Just wait for android 5.0 Then lets talk more.

You're trying to lessen the hurt that your favorite OS lags like crazy by trying to show fault in other OS'es that don't lag nearly as bad FROM THE ORIGINAL RELEASE that Your OS does.

Deal with it. Android is Laggy as crap. It's gotten better but this is what, the 5-6th year that Android has been out?

That is inexcusable. I mean purely pitiful but you people continue to Defend this OS with your lives EVEN AFTER EVERY OEM FAILS TO UPDATE YOUR PHONE EVEN GOOGLE THEMSELVES! WISE UP AND OPEN YOUR EYES! The problem isn't completely the OEM's but primarily the OS itself. The OEM's make the problem worse yes but the root lies in ANDROID.

I don't know how long it's going to take you all to figure this out. You all keep supporting this OS that continues to do you all wrong.

No updates, update late, forces you to rely on a site full of Developers that may or may not update your device XDA, forces you to root and custom Rom your device just to enjoy it similar to how iPhone fan oys have to Jailbreak in order to enjoy their devices. Oh you bought a Nexus device, it's gonna update right? Tell that to the Galaxy Nexus owners on Verizon.

                                      WISE UP
