I think I've found one game (Auto Chess) where it's a big deal. Regular use including pretty significant multitasking? Fine. Thought I'd have been longing for an upgrade a lot more than this going into the final six months of my contract. Now I'm only likely to upgrade so I can pass this A70 on to my husband, who's still using his Honor 9 from 2017 (and only having issues with it from one sudoku app that's notorious for battery drain apparently).

      And we still wonder, how the global warming starts... With such heating CPUs we should be thankful that it still is only a very small change of temperature.

        Asus? Could that mean the Zenfone 8 Flip could have a pro version after all with changes they needed to make (re-add headphone jack, same LTE/5G bands as the 8)? If so, as long they control the standby time and overheating issues, I'm all for that

                      you'd think more graphical power directly increases gameplay

                      Here is the funny thing

                      1) games are actually developed to perform for the weakest GPUs possible

                      2)Games need to make money and to make money they need a larger player base and most customers don't have the latest and greatest processors

                      3) stronger GPUs also mean worse battery performance which makes smaller gaming sessions


                      So there is tons of diminishing returns

                      Which at the end of the day people just buy the best processors to not use the power AT ALL

                          Then early 2023 will bring Makalu-based phones, the core will be up to 30% faster than the A78. Speaking of the A78, it’s an impressive 2.5x faster than the A73 that was first used in phones in 2017.

                            Considering hot temper of regular Snapdragon 888 I can't even imagine what will happen if they increase a frequency of CPU to 3Ghz.

                              Anonymous, 28 Jun 2021Only mi11 has heat issues. You do not see same complaints... morePhone wasn't rushed, the Snapdragon 888 wasn't optimized at that point being a brand new processor.
                              And the MI 11 heating issues have been resolved long back. Even Gsmarena confirmed it in their long term review but you still can't stop repeating issues from 6 months back that have already been resolved

                                      If the overheating was solved, I would've counted it as an yearly upgrade. Lol🥳

                                      Also a question, does anybody know if that heating is majorly due to Samsung's fappy fabrication or Qualcomn's bad design ???
