LOL, 29 Jun 2021TPM 2.0 and Home users requiring a Microsoft account? Pushi... moreHeh heh...'nobody' cares about a platform with 75% + market share for desktop / laptops? It is this platform which large corporates depend on day in and day out? What are you even talking about?

If on intel You need to have at least 8th gen or a later CPU to be able to install windows 11.

LOL, 29 Jun 2021TPM 2.0 and Home users requiring a Microsoft account? Pushi... moreNo one cares about x86? Have you lived under a rock the last few years? People want real performance when buying expensive computers. Not selective, synthetic benchmark toys. That's why AMD have been able to quadruple the average price point of their stuff since they launch Ryzen processors.

Your complaints about Microsoft offering their own store as a free choice to all the alternatives you can install and use on Windows are so cringy. On Mac, you literally have no choice. Pay the 30% Apple tax. Use the apps Apple allows you to use. Stuff Apple offshore tax dodging accounts full of money of GT eff O. You don't get to have your opinion on this if that is what you want to sell to everybody.

In last 20 years, I had used many versions of Windows OS from Windows XP to Windows 10. Very first thing I do after installing / upgrading OS is to move taskbar from bottom to top of the screen. Windows 11 won't allow to change position of the taskbar and it will remain at bottom of the screen only. So, of course, I will stick to Windows 10 only and won't upgrade to Windows 11.

              Screw Microsoft!
I for one can't afford or want to buy a new computer /notebook just to be able to take up windows 11 because these picks tweak things and leave 90% of people out in the cold!
              Bloody wankers!

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2021whenever it comes, will I b able to upgrade from my v1909, ... moreKnowing Microsoft's track record over the decades, I recommend NOT being an early adopter of new versions of Windows. Give it one or two years after launch, then ***maybe*** you can consider upgrading.

Also, I genuinely think you will need new hardware for the new OS.

TPM 2.0 and Home users requiring a Microsoft account? Pushing the Microsoft app store onto desktop users? No thanks.

I'll switch to a Mac when Win 10 becomes EOL in 2025. I suspect Microsoft will delay that by 1-2 years, we shall see.

Apple is already switching to Apple Silicon for Macs, Microsoft is still mucking around with Intel x86 and Windows on ARM (WART) which no one cares about. By 2023 the performance gap will increase further between Macs and Windows PCs.

So many drivers on support page last updated on 2019.... Graphics, wifi, Bluetooth, lan, chipset, dolby, etc etc etc.

And most of the people cant install it cause they dont know how to turn on TTB 2.0 from BIOS or just cant find it or they have to old version of it.

While it have been proven that it can run on a laptop that have 1GB ram and dual core cpu that was from the age of Windows 98 or XP
