Rumor: Xiaomi is working on a phone with a 192MP camera with 16-in-1 binning support

This high resolution sensor should offer high quality digital zoom up to 4x. And it will have the S888 successor to do the number crunching.

That's of no use to ordinary audience. In Europe they released 11 Ultra in May and till date no units are available to buy. what a waste of effort and publicity
Same will happen with this instead they should focus on rolling out updates to previous phones and improving their buggy OS

Unreliable cheap paper spec rubbish brand.

why companies keep on jumping on this 12mp spiral we've had ever since 2015? it's still the same resolution, and samsung is the most prominent company to make a high resolution nona bayer or quad bayer sensor, but then it outputs it around 12mp?

can't they just use a conventional quad bayer/tetrapixel filter for this so we have a much higher resolution output? (192mp with 4-in-1 filter so it outputs 48mp, it's better than the 2015 12mp we've had)

sammy could make better choices here, imagine a triple digit sensor that has a garbage 16-in-1 filter that outputs low resolution images? it's terrible

it's better honestly if they do a tetrapixel filter on this sensor instead as 12mp is too low already.

16 to 1 binning seems too much. Hopefully it works out well though.

            other brands will be $2500
