Vivo already did sensor shift stabilization. Apple's implementation is worse than S21 Ultra and MI 11 Ultra both of whch don't need sensor shift image stabilization for good stability.
LIDAR is just a fancy name for tof sensor.
All new things Apple bought were mostly gimmicks. They skipped on the useful things

The iPhone is the single most sold phone in the world every year. Mind you iOS isn't the most sold OS. The iPhone is. They can't secure 100million 120hz displays.
The camera zooming aside is still in the top 3, and when it comes to video is still the number one. 65W Charging isn't something that interests Apple or most consumers to be fair. Apple's SoC is literally bigger than any other mobile SoC. Android authority has a video about this. Bigger means more processing power (not necessarily faster) and more energy hungry. Think of it as having a V8 engine instead of a V6. Battery stability is hence more important for apple. The average lifespan of an iphone is significantly longer than that of an android phone. People keep them for many years. 65W charging degrades the battery faster. Anw. No phone is perfect and that goes for iPhones as well. I don't know where you live but in the USA, UK and western europe iPhones are not more expensive than Android flagships.

In a way, I feel sorry for all those people who had only iPhones or only Android phones in their lives. Imo, those people do not know the full extent of smartphones these days. The only way you could make a good opinion about something is to experience it yourself. Watching YouTube videos or reading spec sheets counts as zero.

[deleted post]Apple hasn’t even released their 2021 iPhone yet. Last year iPhone 12 series was the first to use a 5nm chip. The Pro models had LiDAR and the Pro Max has sensor shift stabilization. Apple does enough new things each year. What innovation does Samsung or Google do? Samsung’s S21 Ultra is basically S20 with another telephoto lens and a new chip. Google 2020 Pixel phones are less powerful than their 2019 Pixel 4.

[deleted post]Well said, and I think you've hit the nail right on the head there, insecurity. It's not enough for these people to have this extreme level of dislike for something, they seem to need to go out of their way to try to push that onto others.
I've said it before, but I'll say it again, I don't personally like Huawei products, I make sure to stop short of saying how terrible I personally find them, but they ain't for me that's for sure. But you won't find me over on every single Huawei page on this site trying to force my own take down everyone else's throats.
Huawei have their fans, and those fans deserve to discuss their appreciation without me trying to ruin it just cause I'm seeking some lame validation to my own opinions.
I quite appreciate Apple products, not about to apologise for it to some overly zealous haters on this site, they are going to have to get their kicks elsewhere.

When iPhone got popular it had around zero brand name with phones, it was huge underdog and first three iPhones didn't sell that well. Where you think Apple got that brand name? By making great phones years after years and offering something unique what no-one else can. Everyone else in the market are selling more or less same phone and experience. That's a reason why so many Android companies are strugling to stay alive or relevant.
