Not the first device in partnership with Kodak. It was Motorola who first partnered with Kodak with the moto zine zn5 with variable lens aperture which was a niche even today.

I wonder how many millions Realme paid to get the 'partnership' with Kodak? Oneplus paid Hasselblad USD 150 million for 3 years, so Kodak wouldn't be cheap too. In the end, all that costs will be pushed onto Realme buyers.

MagicMonkeyBoy, 02 Jul 2021Cool! Kodak is going to turn heads. Very smart move from Realme. I dont see it turn any heads for it's name. Kodak was making film and wasnt about optics or anything i know of and probably all who remember Kodak think the same. And cameras went digital, then Kodak went to history books.

Shui8, 02 Jul 2021I can bet those old Kodachrome & Ektachrome filters mus... moreLol you can find those filter in every social media apps and also every editing apps. They even maybe just copy and paste from one of these apps and put in realme's default camera app as a 'special' mode. This 'collaboration' does not have function besides just as a marketing to boost the sale by making customers thinking they have so 'unique' phone

Fuji actually has DSP algos to simulate their grain, emulsions and development (and they are good, and I like and recommend them).
This is 100% pure BS marketing move.

Kodak was the uncontested leader in photography, I was one of their researchers that invented the first digital sensor and digital photography, only to them try to kill digital photography and invest all in film... such level of asinine thinking is a perfect fit for BBK!
