      Oflife, 02 Jul 2021It has amazed me since the advent of Facebook, how a compan... moreIt's just my opinion but, even though I'm supposed to be a gen-Z and simp for tiktok, I simply dislike the app. I have this theory which goes like this : the Chinese are a pretty strong country yes? why not create something every kid uses, say, an app, and if they might use it they will waste all their time for studying, hobbies and school, making them dumber(my class for example). wouldn't that end up having an impact later on, as for in a few decades, and you could say America will drop down from the list?

      also, I agree with you, you have YouTube for that. It has more features, it's more popular and it has a better algorithm (excluding the ads, they are very bad at them) you get even more money from yt while keeping you safe.

                  It has amazed me since the advent of Facebook, how a company can develop a product that from both a user experience and technical development angle is a piece of sh*t, yet somehow, becomes popular, and then (in the case of Instagram in particular) get acquired for a billion helicopters and a dollar. And then..., when a small upgrade is made, that would take a low grade software engineer with 1 months experience in PHP and MySQL 30 minutes to implement (such as this TackyShlock 'upgrade'), the media bow down and worship thee oh deity of recycled food. FFS, just use YouTube! It's multi aspect ratio, allows longer videos, has a whole ecosystem around it and isn't owned and monitored by the Chinese! (I have tried Insta and Flickr for photos. The Flickr user experience is not perfect, but wipes Insta, so why on Earth anyone but dumb narcissistic females and ladybois showing their pouty lips and fat bums would use it is anyone's guess.)
