Personally, if it can charge my phone in about 1.5 hours or less, it's fine. I plug my phone in when I get home, leave it there, unplug it when I go to bed. So, even a slow charger is perfectly fine. But to have option for faster charging is always nice.

Understanding these factors can largely help to reduce the speed of battery failure and allow batteries to better serve their purpose.

[deleted post]What makes you think he's a sony fan?
Stop assuming and blaming Sony fans, when Sony are innovators and bring new features.
Charging at 200 or 100 w is no big deal.

Anonymous, 04 Jul 2021Apple, Sony batteries maximum 400 charge cycles beforehand ... moreTo clarify, With once a day charging (around 365 cycle)
Sony with Qnovo tech and certification aimed for less than 5% battery capacity loss/year.
Xiaomi with its 100w+ charging have internally tested and got approx 20% battery capacity loss for 800 cycle or 9.1% loss per year.
But since Xperia 1 II, Sony no longer attach Qnovo tech in favor of bigger battery with faster battery charge which now it have 30w battery charging, they haven't done split battery to reach 60w.
Xiaomi basically like the image shown gonna split the battery to 8 or something and charge it individually to reach sub 10m full charge on 4000mAh

There is factually no data on the long terms impacts of 200Watts charging all you can do is interpolate
We also cannot forsee what contribution this development will have on the industry long term

Even now, the main sensor on the s21 ultra doesn't take better picturs than the one on the regular s21...hell even the s10 can still keep up and at times is even better, with a much smaller sensor.

At no point did I say it was bad for anyone to use this.
My original comment was that "It'll constantly be on *my* mind".
I don't pay anyone's wages on here so if anyone is getting scared from my opinions, then they haven't really opened up to the big wide world with billions of opinions flying everywhere at all times,. Ppl wouldn't last a single minute if they took everyone's opinions to mind/heart. Lol.

Lol there would be lawsuits. Only time it might catch fire is if you get into an accident.
Stop trying to change the topic here and let other people who want to enjoy faster charging, enjoy them. Don't try to mislead them into thinking it is bad without any proof from your side
