sohail shafayat, 04 Jul 2021200W fast charging is a battery killerMan its not that bad.
If microwawe oven doesnt burn your house to the crisps and it takes a lot more power and heat to make your food edible this is fine.
At least you dont need to wait whole day to charge your tablet with regular charger I.E. apple one 5V/1A.

Long time ago irridium cells were invented wggich can replenish battery on its own.
Problem is irridium is so rare its almost impossible to find enough anywhere on or in the nature. Othervise there wouldnt be any battery problems.

Anonymous, 04 Jul 2021Less battery life boom 💣Man every battery degrades over time and most people have their devices on a monthly plan from their cell phone operator and buy new every 2 years so i dont see a problem here.

sixtymes, 04 Jul 2021do people know the faster the charging the less battery lif... moreMan do you know Apple still uses 5V/1A in their devices???? Imagine a 10 000 mAh battery or even more and it will require 24 hours or more to charge to full. Woud do you like to wait whole day for charge or you will take your device out with 15-20% of the capacity???
To me the other option is plain stupid.
in past lets say 10 years ago most devices had 1000-3000 mAh batteries and took whole night to charge. Batteries improved and charging too.
So why you have to disagree???

Then the nuclear power plant next door is overloaded if 1000 people charge their mobile phones at the same time 😱 😜

Full charge in half an hour would satisfy %99 of customers. While getting ready, taking shower, eating a meal etc. phone would be ready to take out.

Steve, 04 Jul 2021We are witnessing history right here my friends, next long ... moreTo me, more like set for a disaster that could repeat the history like the Galaxy Note 7. Apart from it, phones have already reached their peak in 2017. After 2017, phones became too OP for us!!!!

From a balance 12/16mp to 40/48/64/108mp to make it sound more better in spec, removal of essential features to milk money that ppl still needs it to this day, more hungry power processor=more battery size capacity, generic design that ppl really hate it but no choice but to buy it because of the trend so that they don't want to be left out and pricing it too high that ppl may sell their own organs. This is smartphones after 2017. (SMH and LMAO). That's just the smartphones evolved by itself for the worst ;)

IpsDisplay, 04 Jul 2021Good news let's welcome new standards of the technolog... moreIt has been proven many times that super-fast charging shortens the battery life span. And don't forget the heat produced from those super-fast charging rates. Some new ideas aren't progress but a solution to problems that never exist in the first place instead. It's the same analogy with smartphones without a headphone jack. They remove it from the phone and then made wireless earbuds as a solution to the problem they created by removing the headphone jack in the first place.

I will never be satisfied until I get 1 KW charging

Sounds impressive, but I wonder how it will affect the battery degradation in long term use after two or three or even five years. Xiaomi's current 120W charging is already too hot while charging, imagine the heat produced with 200W charging. It must be totally unbearable.

200W fast charging is a battery killer

NomiHK786, 04 Jul 2021This feels unnecessarily fast. It'll constantly be on ... moreAs much as I believe that faster charging will degrade batteries faster, I don't think something dangerous will happen just because of 200W charging.

I mean, microwave ovens operate at more than 20x wattage levels and yet they are relatively safe to use at home for as long as proper precautionary measures are observed.
Even mid to high-end gaming PCs that typically consume 4x as much power are all safe to use.

so, these big brains are competing with everyone to make fastest charger tech instead of improving their ad-ridden MIUI, good job.
