The Office 2007 still had the same look that old Microsoft Office 95 had (from 1995 with some minor UI tweaks). Every now and then a UI update is nice & needed.

    So they fixed something that isn't broken. Office software is made to be productive, not for joke and playing games, new interfaces only for the sake of having a new interface is not a productive way of working.

      I installed this update today and it looks the same as the old one on Win 10.

          G Suites is not ideal for office work environment, for personal use, sure you can use it without touching MS office.

              Unless they changed from subscription only to you actually own the software, I don’t care what changes they make.

                Some companies use open office to cut down on expenses

                But yeah l don't see Google suite as relevant competitor in the field, heck l don't see it competitive enough even at high school level, let alone higher education or business.
