Sony and Google don't seem to be able to build a phone without one or more glaring deficiencies. Maybe the new batter size will overcome the Pixel small battery complaint. I'll wait, but am not expecting a well rounded phone.

Yet it is apparently perfectly acceptable for others to spit on phones that are actually part of a rare type, like small, thick, with a pop up, without front camera, etc.
Did I ever say that I want THIS phone to be thicker?
No, all I said is that we can remove the camera hump by simply making a phone thicker.
But egocentric being egocentric, they can't tolerate the idea of a phone that isn't made for them, regardless how many already exist or not.

sumdumguy, 09 Jul 2021Fine, there'll be a 5% increase in picture quality at ... moreCurrently the smallest 50MP sensor on the market (apart from Isocell JN1 which is meant to be used for a telephoto/selfie camera) is BBK-exclusive 1/1.56 inch IMX766 - this is well over twice as large as the tiny IMX363 Pixel 5 uses. And who knows if Google will use even larger ones, like Isocell GN1 or even GN2?
What I can say for sure is that the quality of the image will be SIGNIFICANTLY better while maintaining the COMPARABLE file size. I'm saying it's comparable as the final output image will be always 12.5MP unless you manually select 50MP mode. Don't pull out some BS percentage figures just to prove your messy argument right, there's almost nothing that could possibly prevent this new Pixel 6 from absolutely crushing your old Pixel 3 XL, especially in less than ideal lighting conditions.

Cameras. Have. Been. Always. One. Of. The. Biggest. Selling. Point. Of. Pixel.

My wife has used iPhones in the past, she too seems happy to switch back to Android.
