Developing such things, testing and approving them costs a lot of money. Saying they can't monetize it then is a bit weird statement. They can just as well sell Apple USB-C cables for 40€ per 2m.

Such a shame, I was hoping for simultaneous 2-way wireless charging where you wirelessly charge the power bank at higher wattage like 15w and it in turn charges the phone at blazing fast 5/10W.
So disappointed Apple, where's your innovation?

i am fine thick phone like energizer, 7000mah is not that thick than 3000mah phone. why you need this $99 accesories with only 1000mah batteries more for a phone?

This charges 1.000 mAh at max because wireless charging efficiency is around 60% even with magsafe. I bet you could buy 2-3 10.000 mAh magsafe power banks on Amazon for 100 bucks

Not by much, but it does. Apple put huge expenses into developing this connector, off course they didn't drop it immediately and replace it with USB-C. They were kinda forced to use it because of that. It's just odd they are now doing this mishmash of Lightning and USB-C. It's been a while, just adopt USB-C on everything and call it a day. But knowing Apple they won't do that and will actually bank on going portless with wireless only charging as it has been rumored for years now.

And u expect it to charge 12 mini? Maybe you guys need to improve your math (& science while u r at it, since battery pack already doesn't deliver the rated capacity, and it'll further drop with the 'eco-friendly' wireless-charging)
My bet is it could hardly charge 1000mAh of a phone's battery, what a joke!
