Google fined €500 million in France over an antitrust lawsuit

The penalty could grow up to €900 million if Google does not enter negotiations with publishers within a two-month period.

    Joke aside, for Google Search, Bing can more or less take place. For Gmail, we have plenty other choices. And plenty of them are privacy focus.

    Only YouTube is hard to find an alternative, considering the huge investment to maintain all of that streaming infrastructure.

            If governments were not filled with brainless individuals, who only want other peoples hard work & money as their own: they could have produced a similar type of corporation and NOT winched. Don't pay the fines and cut off their use of Google sites.

                  Apple been trying to take down all competition and doubt they will stop any time soon. Biggest competitor Huawei is out of the way, growing Xiaomi is on sight and well Google, that Apple always like to copy.

                      Someone please enlighten me, when a company getting fined millions of dollars for antitrust or capitalism, to whom they should pay this sum of money? To government or the second party or both?

                            Countries and the peple behind the countries i.e. Government, President, Prime M inister etc shouldnt be afraid of such companies and should fine them ever more.
                            Every penny in caselike this helps country to grow and money spent will help to make things in country flows and works to satisfy its citizens in a good deeds.
                            Luike for example better public transport.
