I wouldn't touch a contract phone now. 24 months contract and the phone is obsolete long before the contract has ended. I pay cash for a sim free phone like you do. This is on the BBC news website, concerning an Apple vs Samsung case in the UK. What credibility have Apple got? None!!! What ever Apple says, i'd take it with a pinch of salt.

Makes me wonder if s4 is on its way or maybe a phone with exynos 5250 will be released and maybe I should wait to buy that instead of the lg nexus (which its storage sucks unless they offer 32gb).

Why can't Google stick to one model and try to enhance it further, I mean I have used Nexus 7 and it run smoothly with Tegra 3 quad core processor so WTN to bring in dual core Exynos processor in Nexus 10.
I hope this desciosn is based on some good reason other than some stupid business and marketing strategy!!!

So many angry apple users posted in this thread, i havent seen so many posts deleted in a thread since i dont know when, and they are all apple fanatics and there is some serious bashing.
About life quality? So angry and stressed people cannot have a good life. Conclusion: Android users are stable and contented and have higher life quality.
Hope someone can do a scientific study and check the cholesterol levels of Android vs iOS users. Stress cause high cholesterol they say.

One thing bothered me since i first read about the display resolution here. Doesnt this smell like competing with iPad? Higher PPI all the way. Ok, thats good. But not all good.
Im looking at my HD phone, a Note II, running Angry Birds Space (non HD version as that one is payware only). Because of the HD resolution everything is stretched, the buttons become small, almost too small, would for sure be too small on a smaller HD display, like lets say an Xperia Acro S. Now how will that look in a Full HD display? Yes, even more stretched, but should be ok on a display around 10 inches big i guess.
But it doesnt stop there, the Nexus 10 goes even further, stretching things on the display further. Many apps are made for 480x800 and do not care about scaling, those apps will not look good on Nexus 10, regular Full HD (or 1920x1200) would have been better also in other ways, for example playing Full HD videos without any up-scaling, that would squeeze some minutes more out of the battery.
Better resolution than ipad4? I could not care less, when i buy a car (Android) i dont care how much it would cost to take taxi for 3 years (the taxi representing ipads restrictions and lack of choice in iOS), i am after the freedom of having my own car, i would buy Nexus 10 for what it is, not for what some controll-freak restriction-loving company has to offer to fashionistas.

seriously, is this what the next nexus is all about? this is nothing compared to ipad4, it doesnt even have a chance to compete with the ipad mini! yup most android apps are just spam or adds, go to playstore & swipe to the right till you reach top new/trending-lol all of them are garbage!

I own Apple iPad and Samsung Tab 2. Im going to say one thing! Android is soooo behind when it comes to apps quality and availability! Samsungs hardware is amazing but thats it! There is a huuuuuge lack of quality apps! Im hoping they will start to think about this very soon and focus not only on hardware side of it but software side of it as well because this is very important as well. So at the moment i will stick with my highly priced iPad with all those amazing apps in app store and probably sell my Tab 2. Sorry samsung but this is sad true!

I like the tablet, i wanted microSD and HDMI out, but that's not confirmed yet... Even so, i like that Google Switched to Samsung, because they have a very good quality control. Asus doesn't have it. So many Asus Infinity's got back to warranty :/

I saw something funny the other day, we were in a supermarket in a neighbor city, and went the express basket lane at the cashier. But somehow it took a while, because of this guy with a very huge cellphone making calls from one of the 4 open counters while the cashier was waiting for him. When we were finish paying our stuff and leaving he was still standing there, making a a call again, and now i could she had had iphone4 in a huge protector (so much for buying a slim phone). Also noticed he was holding a card, thats the problem, rejected card, no money, and too proud to admit it, so he stayed there pretending that it wasnt his fault. I guess he had no money left after paying the monthly bill in his 24 months lock in period.
Yepp, iphone owners go a long way to keep up appearances, using gadgets to pretend they are higher than they are. I recommend getting a Asha 200 instead, then maybe you could afford food also, and other average people would respect you for who you are instead of making fun of the "social climber" behind your back.

Sorry man, we who have money, many policemen included, pay our phones cash, sim free, no lock in. iphone is for he por and social security clients who cannot afford to buy a phone.
Im not gonna pretend we have money to spare this month after paying US$749 for my new Note II but im suer we have more than iphone owners and their food coupons.
Read the statistics before you brag, iphones are sold much more on contract than other expensive phones. You forgot to mention that someone own you rear end for 24 months because of buying iphone huh? Considered all the restrictions iphone have its good you only had to cash out $199, i would not even pay that much for suck a prison of a phone with a prison contract.

Personally the ipad is very plain and boring, I think the nexus 10 will look pretty good in real life with curved edges... but I do think the bezels could have been a bit smaller.
