I hope two years down the line, we will have another operating system. Google Pixel with their own chipsets will evolve and will give good competition to Samsung and Apple. Oppo+One Plus+Vivo+Realme+Xiaomi should come together and bring their version of OS. Maybe they will be able to take on big giants like Apple and Samsung.

          As soon as Xiaomi, for example, tries something their own, they get banned fast. Actually, US already tried as warning.

                  Omg, a Huawei phone with Qualcomm chip.
                  So a new beginning for Huawei with bad battery optimization, heat problems and you name it... Really sad.
                  I take Kirin over SD anytime.
                  monopoly when it's worst, typically America, doing what they want... But all criminals has a expiration date and justice will be done one day!!!

But right now, they are forced to buy US tech if they want to stay afloat. And that's probably the real reason of this ban. US just can't stand competition, be it business or spying. Tsmc, Samsung and smic(maybe others too) are using some American technologies in the process so they can't build chips for Huawei. Some companies in China are on the way to produce chips without any tech from west, heavy founded by Huawei and other phone OEM s.

                                    Scrap the Pro+ version, use it as Pro, while the current Pro use it as vanilla version...as chips supply are limited, HarmonyOS introduction to the world, Huawei needs to go all out with these two P50s, with competitive pricing.
