Good job Xiaomi ,I remember having the mi 2 as my first android phone way back, and traveling almost 250km to get it from a gray market retailer to pick it up. (Back then they call it a unicorn phone, its like the specs are so good, but nobody could confirm if its real :) ) They only have 2
"kiosk" not shops , but just small square space in the mall ,back then in the Philippines and almost 98% of tech shops did'nt even know the brand.
I always promote and advertised this brand to the point of being laugh at by my friends( even my wife) , saying thats it no better than a "cheap china phone" Since Xiaomi does not use any commercial or even other form of promoting itself back then. If not for Gsm arena, I will labeled as delusional for inventing an imaginary brand.
I felt vindicated now for those times that they laugh at me when I told them that someday they will the no.1 for mobile phones...Xiaomi you did not disappoint. Btw, I did have a Meizu Mx4 and Op5 which I considered worthy on the top 5 specs to price ratio

Well this was to be expected.... given the amount of great devices they have launched in the past couple of years, in almost every segment from budget to flagship.

Samsung ignored India and now they will lose no 1 position soon.
Samsung's all devices launched within 25 thousand rupees are not decent.
Launching 720 p displays,giving water drop notch,making a costly phone with 720G,making plastic phones even at 30k will cost them heavily.
They are also not launching new M series successor of M31s or M51 which had solid sales in India last year.
If they only want profit by selling Foldable phones,its fine but be ready to lose no 1 spot in world.

Xiaomi Is the king that goes without saying. They destroyed the brand name apple. They overcame Huawei they but Sammy still far from surrendering.
The real value for your hard earned money = Xiaomi.
Dadys money = iPhone ( nothing more than a toy)
Turning from open to close source. = Samsung.
The Underdog = Vivo.

It's a shame that all the good Xiaomi phones are either very expensive or hard to get here in Australia. If you don't want Samsung or Apple you don't have many options

I have own various brand: LG, Sony, Samsung, ZTE Axon, Huawei. The worst by far is the samsung low end and the best is Huawei, it have it all except the battery saving app drive me nuts.

I truly don't care who sells the most phones. All that matters to me is that the phones I buy meet my needs. As of now those are met by the Galaxy Note 10 Plus and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Different strokes for different folks.

Fyi, oneplus, oppo, realme & probably vivo share resources and r&d with each other .. design, hardwares & and probably the core of their software ...
Their charging technology interchangeable and work with each other.. oppo custom sensor can be found on oneplus, vivo virtual ram being baked into oppo and realme flawlessly.. oneplus design are base on oppo or realme.
