The Amazon Appstore will support Android App Bundles soon

Google is making the format mandatory for the Play Store this August, which was a potential existential threat to Amazon's store.

I thought google app support with windows 11 was basically from amazon app store.

there was reports that google was trying to block them with the aab vs apk route but if amazon is now supporting aab then windows 11 should support aab via amazon app store.

This is a advanced version application which will split application into multiple bundles. While downloading the app from play store, only necessary bundle will be loaded. Later remaining bundles will downloaded automatically based upon demand. This will reduces file size significantly and uses less storage on device.

            If this support can be adopted to Windows 11, that would be great news.

              Well, so far they were basically just using renamed ZIP archives as containers. I wonder what compression is using for .aab format...
