I have played with both sets.
E66
A very good upgrade frm E65. It is slimmer now. And contain new function like GPS and 3.2mp auto focus camera. There have been in a change in the OS as well. ppl who have the E65, sell away ur E65 now before they become useless. E66 is a nice upgrade with a total different feel.
E71
I only have 1 feeling when i hold the white colour set. It feels just like holding a palm centro. the key pad is small, but works just like the palm centro(which is quite comfortable) GPS and 3.2mp auto focus is a plus.
One thing i don understand nokia is.. since Nokia have slighty upgraded the OS.. why cant they just create the thread sms as well.. why must they still stick to the old traditional way? Even Window 6.1 have upgraded to threaded sms..

Until now (09 May 2008 @ 9:00am), Nokia has not made any official announcement of Nokia E66 and E71. Come on Nokia! Don't make us disappointed again this time.

I think it's too fast to judge the design based on these photos. These photos are very poor, taken from very close distance (that creates a distortion effect). In fact there were some official photos (small ones) leaked a few months ago where both looked just fine (E66 was quite pretty in my opinion - very slim, steel back). The specs are quite good, all that you need in a business phone: HSDPA/3G/EDGE, Wi-fi, GPS, miniUSB, 128 MB RAM, microSD cards (8 GB already available, 16 GB coming soon), 3.2 MP Autofocus camera, video probably at 640x480x30 fps. The only weak point to me is the resolution which seems to be the old 320x240, even if the screen seems to be 2.4" (on E66). I think 2.4" (or 2.6-2.8" on E77) can have a better resolution than 320x240 and for browsing reasons it is really a "must" (2.8" is double as surface than 2" so a double resolution should be ok - at least iPhone resolution (480x320) should look fine). Of course bigger resolutions means more processing power needed, GUI hardware acceleration, better battery, etc but Nokia needs to make that step at least on the high end phones (and I'm not including E90 here (resolution 800x480) which is already another category of phone). And they also announced that Tube will not be a high-end phone ... so it will probably not include GPS, serious camera, HSDPA, etc. So I am really not sure when will Nokia come with a more than 320x240 phone but I really hope it wont take long as I dont want to have to go for SE or HTC new top phones (Xperia and Diamond).

Are you sure that GPS is internal and not A-GPS or Bluetooth GPS?
My E60 has similar items but they require a BT GPS receiver to work.

Are you sure that GPS is built in? It could be either A-GPS or Bluetooth.

Yeah, sorry Nokia,
I absolutely love e-series phones, but the design could be a bit more interesting on these new ones... Great news about the autofocus cameras though...

Come on Nokia. What took you guys so long to re-release the updated 3g verison of the E62. Man i have been waiting forever to get this phone. The E62 was a pretty good phone. Plus the cell phone industry is coming to where PDA's make there company. Main money maker. This E71 will sell like hot cakes. Especially if you have had the E62 which was a great phone. Congrats on coming over into the PDA world. I hope that Nokia comes out with All touch screen. So they can put the Iphone to Shame.

Both goodlooking phones. And it's nice that they both come with 3.5mp cameras. I'm still waiting for the Tube though =) Once you have the N95 8gb, it's very hard to find a worthy upgrade =)
