Exciting to see them push the specs to next lvl, as it was with hi res or tele or low light, they know to impress. Them having their own chip and production in china would solve all chip problems, how soon it will be is a wonder though.
I will be expecting 1M iso and 20x zoom, even if it won't be, there is some excitement at least to have some upgrade unlike sort of refresh other brands do. We need that kind of competition to have better devices.

NanaBongo, 19 Jul 2021They needed to optimize their new HarmonyOS gor the device ... moreLol, HarmonyOS is still based on Android Open Source Project (AOSP). So it is still an Android phone even with the lack of Google Mobile Services. Even custom ROMs are also based on AOSP.

Mat, 19 Jul 2021Does it available for all global countriesProbably not due to chip shortages, most likely the pro versions will be China and parts of Asia, the p50 May see European launch though, I would only want the pro+ model so it will be unlikely to get hold off for less then a small fortune

Mat, 19 Jul 2021They used to be launching in march why this time take so lo... moreDue to the American ban they can't work with tsmc so they don't have a stable soc (kirin 9000) source. They waited in order to secure enough chips but it wasn't possible so now they bought sd888 but again because of the American ban they can't have 5g chips so they settled for 4g socs for the p50 and limited supply of 5g socs for the p50 pro till December

"Reports are the Huawei P50 will arrive with an LTE-only version of the Snapdragon 888 chipset, but we’ve heard nothing on the Pro or the eventual Pro+."
So there will only be one P50 variant? If that really is the case, then Huawei should give a great camera hardware setup.

Mikeromeoz, 19 Jul 2021If the rumors are true, I wonder how they design these two ... moreDon't think these rumours are correct as they are from months ago. The most recent rumours in China are that the p50 pro will have a 1/1.18inch Sony imx800 main sensor and the Omnivision 1/1.33 inch 64mp OV64a for the ultrawide angle. That would still be an impressive set-up though

Mikeromeoz, 19 Jul 2021And what about the auxiliaries (telephotos and whatnot)? Ac... moreThe telephoto sensor are the big mystery on P50. Might be an optically moving lens? Or the long awaited liquid lens? Whatever it is, Huawei says it will introduce new thing that havent got in mobile camera phone before.
