29 October, 2012
The update puts the One X ahead of its Galaxy S III rival (also on Jelly Bean) in several benchmarks.

Jelly BEan, 29 Oct 2012I don't think so that's a stock rom benchmark. It's probabl... moreNo, it's not overclocked. I am on stock and easily hit the 12500 mark. Just check out the htc one x thread @ xda. 12500 probably would relate to every second post if not higher.

Sad that some of you are looking for excuses to make your sgs3 look better.

Tsepz, 29 Oct 2012Great job by Htc! Still prefer my GS3, Htc missed out big t... moreYou don't seem to really get it. the reason the one x is ahead here is actually due to its cpu power as well as the ram and fast i/o speeds.

In term of cpu it defeats the Galaxy s 3's quad-core. The problem with the one x having had its ass beat in the past is mainly because of the much weaker gpu it has.

I think that this set of benchmarks clearly puts the One X ahead of GSIII. But it also puts the NoteII ahead of One X. Anyways at the moment my only choice of new phone would be GNoteII. If I were to choose between GSIII and One X I would choose GSIII because I can not imagine buying a premium phone with a sealed batery and now SD expansion slot. HTC - WHY WHY WHY ????

@Blankman and then when Key Lime Pie is released, you will say how crap JellyBean is? sometimes you need to think first before commenting. Ofcourse every updates need to be an upgrade for every device not a DOWNGRADE

I couldn't care less about benchmarks, I just hope they improved the user experience on browser because it was very choppy compared to other high-end phones

I don't think so that's a stock rom benchmark. It's probably overclocked!. Having said Overclocking samsung GS3 can reach to 7000.

Great job by Htc! Still prefer my GS3, Htc missed out big time by limiting the One X to 32GB. Im sure the GS3's 4.1.2 update will rectify this, the Exynos 4 Quad core is far more powerful than the Tegra3.

Meh,it doesn't matter.htc sense is way too heavy anyways so in real performance, they are probably equal. The GS3 might even be faster too.Not to mention that tegra 3 is 40nm which means that it overheats badly and it's not power efficient.

                                      Just my 2 cents,I don't own a GS3 or a one X.
