The article referring to the p50pro+ said "the liquid lens can achieve 3 to 7.5 times lossless continuous zoom, equipped with periscope telephoto P50+ supports 20 times hybrid optical zoom and 200 times digital zoom." So it looks like hybrid zoom rather than optical if the leak is accurate. Sorry about that.

Oneplus claim... moreDxOMark's samples prove field of view of S21 Ultra, OnePlus 9 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+ being fairly comparable on UWA camera (which makes sense given they are 4:3 13mm, 4:3 14mm and 3:2 14mm respectively). But yeah I guess I should trust your number even though the photos taken in real life clearly show otherwise. At the same time you're also suggesting that it captures even narrower field of view than the regular Mate 40 Pro which contradicts with GSMArena's showing.

                        Do you know that in actual camera world, Sony has the worst color science eventhough using RGGB & bayer CFA? (Sony fix those in a7siii & a1). Users has to editing longer in order to fix it, especially when it comes to red, greens & skin tones. Canon & Nikon did it better, while Fuji did the best in skin tones.

                        Huawei already made an ad campaign about its P50 camera - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RXm6jcwcajE&feature=youtu.be - 'what you see is what you get', we can never know how the software improvements about its color gonna be. Lets see, not too long now.

                          This is pretty awful move from huawei and the thing is that they rely heavily on their pro model when it comes to sales yet they keep almost everything new exclusive to limited pro+ and i bet it ain't going to be cheap

                                Most interesting info will be global availability with limited chips. It would be easier to buy than limited quantity one which may hold the prices up.

                                  Oneplus claims the same for its 14mm ( 9 pro).
                                  The output has FOV of 19-20mm.
                                  In the end photo is edited and corrected.

                                  Check exif data of 9 pro.
                                  Samsung 13mm shows 2mm, while 9 pro 14mm shows 4mm.
                                  It should be less than 3mm.

                                      MI phones are the best.

                                        Both Huawei and Leica promising on the P50 camera software part is, dead on accurate colors. If they can do it on the RYYB sensor, bravo.

                                        Best part? The same camera update software kit will be available to older Huawei phones that using RYYB sensor as well (starting P30).
