Nothing special in ROG 3 as compared to other companies. MIUI, Funtouch OS, Oppos OS all have more customisation and features but they are able to release updates on time with more than having 100 devices. Asus hardly having 10 devices but no update -Suprrb.

Lots of extra code goes into gaming phones compared to a normal flagship
Other phones don't even come close in terms of features and customisations
Rogs android 10 os probably has more useful features than android 12 stock

While I understand that this is just unacceptable for a phone of such caliber, I would never understand why people are so obsessed with such updates. like seriously, what exactly are you missing if you you're on Android 9/10 and haven't got 11? what game changing features are missing? I still use my ROG Phone 2 with Android 9, I won't update to 10 because I really see no benefit at all. no exciting features whatsoever. I still have a great 120 Hz screen, long lasting battery and fast performance from my phone, still on Android 9. Android 11 is simply an Android 9.2 and Android 10 is 9.1. nothing really special except for an artificial bump in software number
if it was Android 12 then yes, maybe I might riot since 12 is a refreshing change

I did the android 11 update on my mi 9 and I regret now ,Google is more and more restricting and becoming apple
With the android 11 you can't see or access to the android/obb folder there are more and more permissions and the android 11 doesn't add anything compared to the 10
Its the skin version that adds not the android or the security patch that add features
On the android 10 I can't run an app that I ran on previous android
And with android 10 I can't pair my PS3 controller to my phone using an app ,and with android 11 I can't acces obb folder ,I will try my best to not update to a newer android version because They will just restrict more and more ,and without any addition but if it is just the skin update I will surely do ,I don't have any bugs with the skin it's just Google adds more restriction to newer android

They barely make 3-4 phone per year and still far behind the other OEM with hundreds of phone.
My asus Zenfone max pro m1 will forever be stuck on android 10 beta as they dropped support for it and for max pro m2 too. Their phones are excellent hardware wise but software support still sucks

I have been a pixel user and wanted try something new and I have burned my fingers with rog3. Sure it's a beast but really pathetic update record. Never buying a gaming phone again.
