Most of the Huawei app store you can download, but it's trying to connect Google play and u cannot use most popular apps. Banking apps some time work, sometime don't.
Most important thing you cannot receive notifications from some apps.

Anonymous, 21 Jul 2021"at least one model will sport a 125 mm periscope lens... moreProbably something between 78-84mm for P50, 125mm Pro and 240mm Plus.

I think they are talking about 4g models which means only base and pro will be available globally while pro+ and 5g models remain china exclusive

"at least one model will sport a 125 mm periscope lens with an f/3.4 aperture. This seems to be the same lens"
It could be the same lens, but it could be also a different lens as we don't know the focal length.

It will suffer from app support and it will probably cost as much as samsung and apple flagships.obviously huawei does not worth as much as samsung or apple.p50 should stay in $700-800 range.

walkman8, 21 Jul 2021I expected so much more from them. Basically, only 1 camera... moreWhat's the problem?

                Mi11 uses HMX like mi10.
                OP9 uses 689 like 8 Pro.
                S21/21+ probably has 555 like 20/20+
                1iii/5iii have 557 + 363 like 1ii/5ii.
                X60 Pro+ has GN1, like X50 Pro+.

Exynos 2100, A14, SD888 are not capable of extracting full potential of image sensors. No power enough.
Trading every year is waste of money if the OEM does not plan to get one of different specs.

Anonymous, 21 Jul 2021Really surprising that they are claiming global availabilit... moreI'm surprised because the Mate 40 wasn't available globally. Maybe they'll be producing a lot more with the SD888 chipset. But I'm only interested in phones with Kirin chipsets.

I expected so much more from them. Basically, only 1 camera sensor is new, while are the rest cameras are copy-paste versions from Mate 40Pro/P40Pro.
I expected at least something, like a 10x optical/30x hybrid periscope. A variable optical zoom. A microscope camera. Much wider ultrawide (P40 Pro FOV on ultrawide is so narrow that it's barely considered an ultrawide cam). This 1˝ main sensor better be a monumental change.

I really hope it retains the colour & light processing as shown in the promos that Sparrows has posted, I like that realistic look. I can already imagine the iphone ruining that dining table shot with it's aggressive flat-hdr!!

Really surprising that they are claiming global availability. Can't wait for the camera samples & shoot-outs!!
