Nintendo OLED is a meaningless upgrade sure, but you want to tell me that people chose Deck over standard PC/ PS4? Well, that's unlikely. It does look cool but Steam does not have a good HW record. Well, let's see.

Switch are for kids. Many Nintendo products are fun early on. Then the kiddie image sinks in and you don't touch it ever again. The last great Nintendo product was the SNES.
I honestly never cared for the original Game Boy. Took 9 years until they gave it a colored display. Bought a Game Boy Advance SP, DS Lite, and Wii. I was excited initially. After a couple months, I rarely used them. Nintendo doesn't have lasting appeal for me and I grew up on the NES.

While it's true that DS sold more than PSP, each having their own unique selling point and variety choices of games to play that make it worth to own both of them.

I was never sure what exclusives Nintendo has to offer. Zelda, Super Mario and other stuff you played as a kid? There are timed exclusives such as Shin Megami Tensei but those get ported to other platforms later.

We are comparing a real device that exists with a promise of a future device, yes the steam is better on paper but it hasn't been released yet, we need to wait and see if they'd really be able to deliver.

Steam deck for me... nintendo messed up. Still cant use bluetooth headphones im guessing.

I need Steam Deck in my life. I can finally play Shenmue II on the go. The entire Shenmue Trilogy for that matter. Shenmue II is my 2nd favorite game of all-time.
Just wished the Steam Deck was lighter. I'll just use a Bluetooth controller for it when it starts to feel cumbersome to hold while lying down.

Guarantee you ... morei am not sure about 4k 120hz or even 4k ANYTHING (even with dlss these is a limit after with in motion it won't be that good),900i docked with handheld could be possible(although you can easily see the quality difference between pc and switch) so difference between resolutions should not be only parameter.
even with ultra or just lower than ultra even in docked mode i don't see it surpassing latest xbox one s (that level of performance for good 1080p or less quality qhd) and that's would be honestly AWESOME( 2.5 times that of steam deck in docked mode)
It's rumored and won't be surprising that switch next gen will be released in 1.5-2 years and it would be really good for the price itself too but keep your expectations in check i guess.

I mean...this isn't the Switch to beat. Guarantee you that a literal Switch Pro is coming out once BOTW2 is released (imagine...first Switch game was the first one with the Switch's release). As long as they give it a bigger battery, 900i@90Hz undocked, 4K@120Hz docked, better performance without sacrificing efficiency, fan in the upgraded dock, 6GB RAM/128GB ROM at least and wifi 6e capabilities, it will be a hit that I will trade in my current Switch for
