MediaTek Kompanio 1300T chipset unveiled: a Dimensity 1200 for tablets

i am impressed by the new Kompanio 1380 too. What can I say. We are grateful that mediatek has unveiled this chip with amazing features.

    Great chipset for gaming and high end tablets. The 5nm process is already highly advanced. No need to rush to 4 or 3nm Leave that to Apple and Qualcomm.

      Pretty cool.

        Still, now this is interesting to watch.

          Based on Cortex A78 too...
          But with smaller GPU (G57mc5)...never mind since it is replaced by 3060

              I'm impressed. It's a well-rounded SoC. Hopefully, one of the OEMs pick this up and add these to Chrome OS devices. Especially tablets, so we can our first high refresh-rate Chrome OS tablet.

                  The Kompanio 1200 was a Mediatek Dimensity 1100 with Dimensity 820 GPU.
                  But this one is a pure Dimensity 1200 with overclock. This looks interesting.

                    As Kompanio 1300T and Dimensity 1200 shares the same G77mc9, memory bandwidth needs is the same...
                    I think both Kompanio 1300T and Dimensity 1200 use the same 4 chanels LPDDR4X..."4266Mhz"
                    When 2 chanels "2133Mhz" is enough on G57mc5

                      Since the Kompanio lineup is also built for Chrome OS in mind, maybe this is where we can see the influx of affordable premium 5G Chromebook laptops and tablets.

                          where is a bit of MT Dimensity 1500 flagship information disclosed from R&D? X1 - 3.35Mhz

                            So the simple thing here is that the kompanio chips are for tablet and non kompanio are for smartphone

                                      I think the table is correct... The dimensity 1200 doesn't use a mid-range GPU but a flagship GPU from last year which was also found in the Dimensity 1000 and 1000+... Now MediaTek have been using the same GPU for 3 generations now.

                                        I always thought the dimensity 1200 uses Mali G77 MC9 GPU which was found on the Dimensity 1000+... Maybe you gave us a fault information... I think MediaTek uses the same GPU for three gens now
