Ibn Batuta, 26 Jul 2021Ya just like they use sapphire I don't be surprised if they uses that material ONLY in the most expensive iPhone in order to royally screw the repairers HARD.

Ah yes, an alloy, probably gonna turn out just like the "Sapphire" lens turned out or their "ceramic" shield! These companies should be sued for misleading claims as these
Well, they have another reason to charge more, so why won't people shell out their benjamins.

The weakest point of the phone is always the glass ( back and front). The frame is not an issue anymore either using aluminum or stainless steel. I see this move more as a marketing point to claim "premiumness" over the "cheap" steel of older models, this way "forcing" the status focused users to upgrade

I don't think they will use titanium. The feel of the phone will change completely, and the titanium will make the phone feel.....light, and thus cheap. Sure, it'll feel solid, tough, and hard to the touch, but it will not have the luxury heft that their current stainless steel iPhones have. That said, titanium would be great to have on their small phones, as those can afford to be light, and could use an upgrade over the aluminium they currently use.

This is just a marketing tool. Who needs a 3x more stronger chassis for a phone?! Can be used as hammer?! A wrench?!
Today majority of phones are having plastic frames and no one is complaining because they are rigid enough for the purpose.

There isn't a 13 version, and they are thinking of a 14 version. Usually, few mm smaller the notch. Sad.

"Titanium is stronger than most metals (three times as strong as stainless steel),"
That's a common misconception, pure titanium is weaker than stainless steel. Only certain titanium alloys are stronger.
