I'll ask you a simple question.. Are you taking images to shoot images for the billboard?
Most consumers aren't using it for that either. The average consumer doesn't want to fiddle with manual mode or RAW. this is why he suggested smartphones are better in most scenarios for most people.

[deleted post]It depends on your "hater" as well.
I personally adore Sony cameras, but I do not like their phones, speakers, most of their headphones, I could not care less for Playstation or Sony TVs etc.

There's no harm or disrespect in educating yourself more.

I stopped taking my mirrorless camera on vacations ever since I switched to the
Huawei P40 pro & MI 11 ultra later.

Only place I recommend taking out your mirrorless cameras is when you want to do professional work. Everywhere else smartphone are more than enough.

Fearghast, 28 Jul 2021A camera that made ZV-1 and RX100 obsolete ... IMHO ZV-E1... moreAs smartphones moving towards 1" sensor, I think its a good move by Sony. Maybe Xperia is slowly preparing their near 1" sensor as well.

Yes lens on 1" sensor actual camera always better than plastic one that smartphone are using. But market for it for sure slowing down due to people will choose the all-in-one that available in a smartphone. At least between 1" and APSC, its a huge different market segment.

A camera that made ZV-1 and RX100 obsolete ...
IMHO ZV-E10 is shockingly good for the price segment, too bad they used the old abysmal menu on this thing and not a new, usable, one.

LMAO.

Please do some research before you post any comment related this this

If taking design (tower & rangefinder look) as consideration, yes you do have a point. However, X-E4 LCD can just tilt but no swivel, unlike ZV-E10, which target to vloggers.

gno1212, 28 Jul 2021Fuji X-S10 is above the league in every aspect except autof... moreFujifilm X-S10:
* Maximized detail: Lacks an anti-alias filter to exploit the sensor's full resolution potential.
* Easier framing: Has an electronic viewfinder for image composition and settings control.
* More detailed LCD: Has a higher resolution rear screen (1040k vs 922k dots).
* Easier time-lapse photography: Has an intervalometer built-in for low frequency shooting.
* Sharper images: Has hand-shake reducing image stabilization built-in.
* Easier fill-in: Is equipped with a small onboard flash to brighten deep shadow areas.

Sony ZV-E10:
* Better moiré control: Has an anti-alias filter to avoid artificial patterns to appear in images.
* Better sound control: Has a headphone port that enables audio monitoring while recording.
* Faster burst: Shoots at higher frequency (11 vs 8 flaps/sec) to capture the decisive moment.
* More compact: smaller (115x64mm vs 126x85mm) and will fit more readily into a bag.
* Less heavy: Has a lower weight (by 122g or 26 percent) and is thus easier to take along.
* Longer lasting: Gets more shots (440 versus 325) out of a single battery charge.
* Easier device pairing: Supports NFC for fast wireless image transfer over short distances.
* More affordable: Was introduced into a lower priced category (30 percent cheaper at launch).

I for one will take Fuji over Sony APSC, anyday. Just highlighting that Sony does has some advantage over Fuji on this one.

Shui8, 28 Jul 2021A Fuji X-S10 contender. Fuji has to lower the price to compete.I think this will go against X-E4 . XS-10 is basically a mini X-T4 and totally different design and execution.

Shui8, 28 Jul 2021A Fuji X-S10 contender. Fuji has to lower the price to compete.Fuji X-S10 is above the league in every aspect except autofocus, if sony do the same software as a6600. Otherwise X-S10 win

Something else. Manual mode is just to make photos comeout the way you want.
Using the same settings of a photo taken on auto is not gonna change anything.

Photos of sports event that are used on social media are all auto/jpeg. No time to edit.
Still 10000x better than any phone.

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2021Yes it's same quality, these point and shoots have not... more1) This isn't a point and shoot.
2) If you can't make this camera perform better than a smartphone, that's on you, not the camera. If I was given a formula 1 car on a track and couldn't make it go faster than a hot hatch, that's my fault, not the f1 car's fault.
