Why huawei no longer become the major brands in its home country itself? I thought huawei got special support by their people and goverment. I thought xiaomi get the big chance to upgrade their position become the runner up even the first place based on highest performance by xiaomi's increase year on year among the other brands.

talha5007, 28 Jul 2021thats how things work, nokia, black berry and now huawei.
RIPYeah no mate, none of the other brands that died had there entire access to anything stripped, this is just the results of the US goverments involvement that no one asked for.

yalim, 28 Jul 2021vivo has much better value for money and here is the result... moreNah, it's because of not being able to source components. Their flagship phones are extremely popular in China even with price increases. Chinese consumers especially liked them because they were the only Chinese company to have their own chips. However, obviously the p50 series won't be that popular due to snapdragon chips and no 5g in most of them

RIPNo. That's not how things work.
Huawei was screwed over by the United States government and accused of actions that have yet to be proven (ironically, the United States government was already proven guilty of the very same actions they've accused Huawei of doing).

Rip huawei. Hope xiaomi continues ur legacy. Huawei at one point became unbeatable in the mate 20/p30 series era. Jus tlike nokia and blackberry were giants of its times. Thye also fell to thier death. Next who is gonna fall is still a bit far. Us rlly got jealous huawei is chinese and that they got to top 1 in a second. Well now unless huawei gets its gms back huawei is done

Hopefully, they'll make a comeback. They haven't been able to make enough phones to sell. This started as soon as they were blocked from producing their chips and buying components for their phones. This should ease somewhat over the next year or so.

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2021So these are sales for China? Then I don't quite under... moreIt doesn't have any 5g phones available for sale and can't get any new 5g chips so it can't make new 5g phones in any quantities. That is the only reason for the decline in China. Second hand mate 40 phones are being sold in China for the price of new ones

ziggy, 28 Jul 2021well, as much i agree with you...i use Xiaomi devices and u... moreI have to disagree with this slightly, just based on more recent Xiaomi efforts. The Mi 11 devices (standard, ultra) are just as well built as say, a P40 Pro. In fact the ergonomics of Xiaomi are superior (thinner, better feel in hand with more chamfered edges). The build of the Mi 11 (standard and ultra) are definitely a match with Huawei's materials although the P40 Pro+ and Mi 11 Ultra are suspiciously similar in that respect with the curved top and bottom screens and use of ceramic. Although I did own a Mi 10 Pro briefly and thought it was really well built but bulky and not nice to hold so maybe Xiaomi have pushed forward now. I loved the P40 Pro I owned and the build and feel of the device, I thought the Mate 40 Pro was a step backwards though (and from the Mate 30 Pro before it) it just had that bulky thick feeling.

So these are sales for China? Then I don't quite understand Huawai's decline here. Is it a case of they simply weren't able to ship/produce enough phones because of the sanctions affecting it's supply chain, or are the Chinese consumers turning away from Huawei?

AnonD-994853, 28 Jul 2021RIP HUAWEI. Don't worry bruh, Xiaomi will continue you... morewell, as much i agree with you...i use Xiaomi devices and used Huawei in past, all high end.
one thing Xiaomi cant delivery (because of prices they practise) is the same quality of construction as Huawei. even tho they are close but the look and feel isnt the same as Huawei.
Hope it will be some day but until now even Mi 11 Ultra cant beat Mate 40 in build quality department.

It's not surprising why vivo conquered China. Thanks to their China-exclusive models. Why does vivo consider non-Chinese users as insects?😒
