Wow, 1000$ for a 4G only device, with locked bootloaders, and on top of that, an Android Skin that only God knows what else might have on the back.

LG have it too but its to late.

Other main reason besides being banned for them to lose, clearly it's the non existent of GMS. Despite many defend they love HMS instead of GMS, it's no go for many who doesn't want to, or spend another work just to make sure their daily software works interrupted. No GMS affect many, not just reliable software source, but also apps that depends on that to working correctly -- widevine L1, banking apps surely use those.
