The second-generation Nord is getting a much warmer reception than the original or the CE redesign.

NY Yankee , 02 Aug 2021What features does it miss? 3.5mm jack and expanded memory (I'll probably never use the 2nd SIM honestly). I do have FLAC audio and sensitive ears to hear the difference.

Still overpriced by 50$ at least to cut through the sales ranks, I guess.

Dometalican, 02 Aug 2021I know boss. Still wish we had more choices here. Congra... moreI agree, we do not have enough options.....especially in the budget-mid range segment.
This is where India and China have the best options. Just look at the phones which are priced for around 400$ there.

Even Europe gets a lot of options compared to people from North America.

Congrats on the Mi 11 Ultra. Shame it's missing a couple features for me to nab it.

Dometalican, 01 Aug 2021Well, it's a number of factors but that is one of them... moreI imported Mi 11 Ultra. 4g works great, even in rural areas.
If you don't care about 5g, Xiaomi and Realme phones can be great without breaking the bank

When it comes to onepluses I had the oneplus 6 and now the first nord. Oneplus is the only brand I habe owned that i have not had issues with that makes you wanna tip your hair out. The worst I have owned is Samsung. Specifically the s7 edge; that sh*t needed to be factory reset twice a month after 3 months ownership. Could wait ten seconds for an app to open etc.

In the days where it's easy to import something into the US, I'd import a Realme or Xiaomi phone if it had the bands I can use but it's not worth it.

Anonymous, 01 Aug 2021People ........ we already having reno 6 pro out there for ... moreThe Reno 6 pro is worse in almost every single way it has the midrange omnivision ov64b with no ois Vs the flagship level imx 766 (although the image processing is probably midrange it still has a better sensor) it has no stereo speakers with ufs 2.1 Vs 3.1 the only advantage the Reno has is it's slightly lighter and maybe colourOS but that's down to preference and the Reno has a price tag of 450 euros Vs 400 euros of the Nord so there no reason to buy the Reno over the nord

I already I buy my last week, I find a differential in it compared to most smartphones with Snapdragon 870 of which the Dimensity 1200-Ai exchanges punches, is different from the same, that is the main reason of my choice.

Nord 2 gets the nod, but just barely! But sure a win is a win I guess, however small it is.
Btw I'm happy with my X7 Max (12/256GB) for the price of the non-existent 6/128GB Nord2.
If the Nord had a HP jack and better processing or higher res UW, I would've jumped on it instead, but then again the only good colour option-Green leather is not available yet and priced way higher.

OnePlus phones are paper dragons. I've owned three: the X, the Nord, and the 8T. All of them share a common flaw: they're great for the first few months and then the problems start. Stuttering performance issues, slow camera start up, lag, and forced restarts. Factory hardware resets became the norm and in the case of the X, for two days it just wouldn't make calls (T-Mobile.) Customer service is non-existent (you send the phone to them and it takes up to 8 weeks for them to fix or send back.) These devices are not built to last. At all.
