The photos have always been heavily influenced by software and A.I. UDC image processing is just continuing the trend. Furthermore, it's far too early to know the potential of this technology. You will have a better argument if the results remain unchanged 2-3 years from now, but we've already seen a difference in less then a year. Most people are excited to see where this goes.

Well it is official. The punch hole/notch front camera is officially dead thanks to Xiaomi, BOE and Visionox. Now we just need slightly higher resolution screens. I know some people are crying hard today. First the Chinese killed the fingerprint sensor and now the notch. LOL!

In fact, I want a phone without any front facing camera.
I just found it laughable that while there are MUCH BETTER alternatives than UDC, many focuses ONLY on it, wanting to make it the ONLY available front cam design.

Andres, 05 Aug 2021Very impressive. Nice work Oppo.Nothing really improved much from their 2019's concept. No wonder Oppo has no confidence to put it into production.

So the typical "Chinese beautification" mode is built-in the software because of how crappy the RAW quality is and it is required to make the image anywhere near acceptable, great 🤣

That front shape/look reminds me of the beautiful Find X w/o any notch. Also I hope they make a compact phone like this
