Just bring the Pixel 5A and 6 series to India with offline service center and see how the sales hike. Waiting desperately for Pixel 6 here 💥

Even if it launches in India, it will be pricy.
Last year Google launched $349 Pixel 4A in US. But India’s pricing was ₹32,000 ($426). Not sure why. Google just want to compete with Apple in India in terms of pricing. Google always prices closer to iPhone (but little less). If they launched 5A for $450! Indian pricing will be about ₹40,000. And in this price, we get Snapdragon 870 and 888.

At least use the SD750 or SD778 for crying out loud, and upgrade to a 48mp 1/2" 0.7um with OIS and flex that 6x lossless digital zoom along with a 12mp 1.44um pdaf ultrawide, 8gb and 128/256 storage UFS2.1 is fine for most people.

the tech nerd, 06 Aug 2021Sooo ummm....... 100 dollars increase in price for nothing? WtfPixel 4a5G was $499 for 6.2in screen and a smaller battery. This device will be the same specs, but add water resistance, 0.2in bigger screen (maybe smaller bezel trick) and a bigger battery. I still think $399 TOPS because it's a year old CPU, but it's not nothing. Just nothing worthwhile.

Looks like we won't see 6a next year as this year 5a won't make enough profit
unlike last year 4a wich was the best value for money .

Pixel 4A sold out like hotcakes in India and was always out of stock around the time it came out. Google is just missing out the 2nd largest market where a small percentage of market share itself means atleast a million units shipped.

So basically a re-release of the Pixel 4a 5G with a beefier battery and ask 450 bucks for it eh? Even by Google's trademark quirks this is a bit too much.

Could the 5G version be the more compact phone this time around? Wouldn't be a bad idea. Snapdragon 778, headphone jack, stereo speakers, IP53 (better than nothing), 12MP/8MP camera setup, OLED panel, and the same 5.7" size?

Pixel 6 uses imx766, like Find X3 series and P50 series.
