Samsung reportedly launches internal review of its mobile division

06 August 2021
This report comes after underwhelming sales of the Galaxy S21, alleged conflict with Mediatek, and weakened position in the makret.

hrishievo, 06 Aug 2021Looks like Samsung's strategy of diminishing focus tow... moreI can't possibly agree more!

The only reason I am getting another iPhone this year is because of its second to none pocketability and top-end flagship specs. I was hoping Samsung was going to change their strategy next year but right now it's getting increasingly unlikely.

Low sales maybe because of its new startegy of flagship phone with more price but less feature

MediaTek is just putting the boot in. I suppose they have some bad blood.

The cost of their phones is what's hurting samsung. The Chinese phone makers are making good phones with lower price. They should follow suit instead of following the apple way. If they continue to price their phones too much then whatever s22 has instore won't get much love specially now with the lockdowns and stuffs.

lmao, we already predicted this since long time ago. Barely any upgrade from s20 and more like downgrade instead with removal of SD card slot and charger.
but noooo, people keep saying this is best phone, best sales ever, top contender. And now it flopped hard.

I can't even let my mother move from her S10+ because S21 is just that bad while being pricier

Now I feel bad for Samsung

The S10e was perhaps one of the best smartphones they made in a long time. It had a lot of features, from an audio jack to compact size and even the SD card slot for all those who are big fans of the feature. And then it was water resistant as well and although the fingerprint was on the side, it was still okay. IDK why did they just discontinue that phone. If they re-introduce that phone even as a mid-ranger it can sell pretty well

Looks like Samsung's strategy of diminishing focus towards the vanilla S and S+ series phones and more importance towards the Ultra variant may have backfired. Most people just want an all-in-one device which, instead of being heavy and gigantic, has good pocketability, optimum performance and adequate battery life. With the Note (another popular all-in-one) series also being shelved this year, it looks like a bumpy road ahead for them (excluding the Foldable space).

Even Redmi Note 10 Pro has glass matte Gorilla Glass 5 for just $250. Also, S20 FE vibration motor is crappy like midranges

Samsung, if you're reading this, stop using plastic back on your $300+ phones, stop using full hd screen on your $700+ phones, and stop gimping the 5G variant of your low end phones. In addition, develop more exynos chip now you have AMD on your side, put it in your tablet, make a 360 or thin and light convertible laptop with that exynos. You have everything you need to develop a good ecosystem, do it.

Useless, Xiaomi will still be better. Samsung just needs to address 3 things :

                          1. Price
                          2. Accessories in box
                          3. Overheating and battery issues

                          We don't need another Apple
