What is the use of a 108Mp or 200Mp shooter when the sensor is very small. These are just marketing gimmicks.

Note 20 ultra) to an iphone 12 series side by side they have about the same bottom bezel. The reason why iphone's chin looks thinner is because iPhones have relatively thick side bezels that matches the size of the chin. Making an illusion. And many androids have curved sides, which makes its chin stand out more.

the "small" chin on apple phones is a trick, they make the side/upper bezels thicker to make the chin look smaller, in reality other phones have smaller chins but much smaller bezels all around, making it look uneven.

They saved a lot of cost on the cameras going with the hmx and 13mp ultrawide so they probably wanted to keep the price down. Wouldn't be overly surprised if it was even a little cheaper than the launch price of the mi11 ultra (the price of the mi11 ultra has been reduced now in China though)

It is not cam + ToF like huawei and samsung have used before.
It is notch or full bezel like pixel 4, as long as they keep this system.

Hopefully the mi pad 5 comes with the pencil in the box. The Huawei matepad 2021 doesn't and now will not have Android. I hope that Xiaomi do a good job in terms of price and presentation. It has to compete with the Huawei matepad, the new realme tablet and all the new Lenovo tablets too.

Have you noticed how phones have gotten taller now, even up to 21:9 aspect ratios. A longer display isn't a deciding factor. Bumping the resolution is much more costly than folding a tiny part of a long display.
Luckily it is possible to get very slim bezels anyways now, but the sides and top can still be even slimmer. They could have the same thickness on all four sides, but I for one would not want the top and sides to be as thick as the bottom.
The iphone X, XS and 11 looked like toy phones from the front with their massive bezels-to-screen-ratio.
My old Mi Mix 3 has roughly the same thickness of the chin as the iphone 11 has bezels all around (plus the notch), but the Mi Mix 3 has significantly slimmer side and top bezels giving it a chin appreance, but I prefer it by far over it having thick bezels all around.
Luckily it looks better on the 12 pro max, but they still need to get rid of that awful notch to not look antiquated in my eyes. It absolutely destroys any chance of a modern all-screen and bezel-less look.
Several years ago, I borrowed a Mi Mix (1st gen) clone for I while, I don't remember which one, but it surprised how unnoticeable it the chin was, even though it was huge and much bigger than the original Mi Mix, as well as the display being smaller. The reason was that we look from the bottom of the display and up, when we use it. Not the bottom of the phone. This is why notches/hole punches has a much more noticeable impact- as they are inside the display area, where we do look, therefore distracting from the all-screen bezel-less experience and a chin does not.
A chin is pretty much something one notices when looking at renders online, but not in practical use. Don't get me wrong, I'd happily see all four sides getting about 2 mm bezels, but I would also much rather have 6-3-3 mm bezels than 5-5-5 mm or even 4-4-4 mm.

Apple uses a special kind of screen (yeah it is more expensive than regular QHD screen used by chinese) that bends inside.

it will be more expensive than the mi 11 utra while having a worse display, worse camera and propably battery since they will have to reduce the battery capacity for the 120w charging and on top of that they will use an even more power hungry chip, the sd888+.

I think this is a co... moreDisplay controller. iPhone have no chin because the display is actually curved under the screen and the display controller that connects to the logic board is exactly behind the screen. Android phones make do with standard screen from their respective suppliers (LG, Samsung, AU optronics, etc) to make it easy to connect to their logic board so the display connector is on the bottom of the device. Apple ordered a custom display, easy for their part as Apple only have 3-4 model each year while Android makers have many models.
