This is why you see bit difference between phones like Pixel 3/3a, LG G5/G5 SE, Sony X Perf/X.

The Pixel 3a lost its white balance presets after an update.

Not a great news. Sure Google team is able to produce a great photos out of a crappiest sensor in the word but... I wish they chose a Sony one.

By the way, the f-number is 1.9, if the sensor is the GN1. (that's very easy to calculate as Google already said how much light the Pixel 6 captures)

I wrote this comment few days ago and received backlash.

They were saying Google will use only sony sensor and guess what how wrong they were.

Google doesn't always use the best they use same hardware you find on $200 Phones.

Pixels are the iPhones of the Android world.

Bigmeme, 12 Aug 2021Should have used the GN2 like the mi 11 ultra. DisappointedI can still take iPhone 11 like photos with my Pixel 3a that has a very old 12MP sensor, it's all due to Google's amazing photo processing software, so using the GN1 I'm pretty much it will give us the best Android and mabe smartphone photos in the world.

The merits are true, they are easy to use and good to handle, the cams are better at photos than they are videos. The pixel 3's have a known battery bloating problem.

Sensor power is measured using raw, not jpeg.
