Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 does not work with old S Pens

The new S Pen Fold and S Pen Pro have a special retractable tip to protect the foldable screen.

This should be common sense. Samsung would be stupid to allow the old pen to work on the fold.

What about the opposite - using the fold-edition spen on a galaxy note or an s21u? Cause for these two, afaik the pens are interchangeable (though the pen slot is not, the s21u one has a different shape that won't fit on the notes).
