Seeing far too fewer kool aid drinkers than what I expected to see here. At least it shows that not everyone is a wingnut / getting paid enough 50 paisas to post on the dot.
What also raises a massive red flag for me is the "exclusive optimizations" that Google is going to perform here. Could it be the subcontinent version of the Project that starts with the letter "D" and ends with "ragonfly"?
And the situation with Jio right now is inexplicable, because thats the ONLY telecom company in India that is pulling a profit while the rest of the companies (Airtel, Vodafone-Idea, BSNL) are posting losses in tunes of Rs 50,000,00,00,000+. Vi is under such heavy losses that the owner was begging the government just a week ago, to purchase the company and ease his pain.
And it looks like ever since Ambani News Network aka CNN18 started slanting towards the right wing narrative, things have started looking up really nicely for him. More so than even the License Raj times his pops enjoyed.

I haven’t even heard of the Snapdragon 215! However, 2 GB of RAM (corroborated with Android Go), a 720p+ display and 13 MP camera are very nice specs for a bottom-of-the-barrel phone.

As long as it's stock Android, it still stand a chance. My father has a J2 Pro with SD 425 and while it seems fine, the RAM and slow storage was what killed the phone. Just installing a few extra apps and the phone slows to a crawl if you don't reboot every few days and even then, it's hardly usable at times.

Hope, the actual phone will be different than shown in picture. Look at those thick bezels on top and bottom. This phone looks from 2015.
Since this phone is made by Google, it will, hopefully, get at least 2 years of OS updates and monthly security updates on time.
