Anonymous, 17 Aug 2021Lol please, expensive trash? Try to use your Chinese phone ... moreHe is right...60hz dim display combined with Snapdragon 690 and terrible cameras at 380 euros is what you call expensive trash.
Nobody buys Sony anymore. Those same Chinese brands that you hate so much have left your Sony into irrelevancy

LOL, 17 Aug 2021It only makes sense if you are super rich and get contract ... moreI feel sorry for you guys in the USA.... bound by contracts and what not!!
We buy unlocked phones here, we aren't bound by contracts.
And we have very cheap calling and data plans... Less than 40$ for the entire year.

This Norwegian Gangster guy is right... You aren't taking into account the price of selling your old flagship phone.

My previous phone... OP8 Pro.. I bought it for Rs.60k (12gb/256gb).
Now I upgrade to Mi 11 Ultra (12gb/256gb) version for around Rs.74k.
Sold my OnePlus 8 pro for around Rs.35k.

Effective cost of using OnePlus 8 pro for around a year = Rs.25k (~approx. 340$)

If you are told to spend around 340$ on a new phone every year, is that really expensive??
I doubt you need to be super rich for that.

You aren't counting the fact that your old flagship phone will cover atleast half the value of your new phone.

                              8 countries only? Really?

Google hasn't reveal why their phones are so limited and selected countries. And their software features are so US centric. I really feel like boycotting and getting others to do likewise. What the hell is Google thinking about.. and no one really knows.

I have the money and love the phone and can't get it.

Utterly disappointment and I likely to get an iphone and avoid Google ecosystem altogether.

                                  1) There is no such thing as a "flagship phone". A FLAG-SHIP is a military vessel, the lead ship in a group of vessels which has authorization to command the rest of the group/fleet. It is RARELY based on the vessel's technical specifications, but rather the fact that it carries the ranking/authoritative officer. This term has nothing at all to do with phones.

                                  2) Can we PLEASE one day get a phone that is physically WIDE ENOUGH to fit in the hands of an actual MAN? (not girly-man googlers -- they don't count) I tried to "upgrade" to a Pixel 2 XL, but was driven back to a Nexus 6 (yes, 7 freaking years old!!!) because absolutely nothing else has a screen that wide. I have no use for a phone that is a foot and a half tall and only 2 inches wide. Proper nice 16x9 or even 16x10 and 75+mm of screen width. 80+ would be a dream.
