Sony Xperia 10 III Lite quietly unveiled in Japan: half the storage lost, eSIM gained

20 August 2021
This Lite model is almost exactly the same as the original, except it comes with 64 GB storage, lacks a dual-SIM version and FM radio.

Except I wouldn't have bought the 1iii anyway, so now there's less money in Sony's pocket overall. Are their midrangers still on the two year update schedule? If that's the case then I won't be getting any Sony phone.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2021How about a light version of the 1iii? $1200 is just too m... moreI definitely miss the Xperia 10 Plus. There was supposed to be a second-gen Mk2 version of it with Snapdragon 720G chipset, but Sony canned it because they want to focus on 5G connectivity. Xperia 10 Plus can easily be a Lite version of Xperia 1 since they both shares the same 6.5" 21:9 screen. If Sony can launch Xperia 10 Plus Mk3 with at least Snapdragon 750G chipset, that would be great.

haha bobo, 21 Aug 2021$425 for an entry level device? Are you sure about that? ... moreSnapdragon 600 series is not an entry-level chipset, that goes to Snapdragon 400 series. The low-end base Snapdragon 200 series chipset is built specifically for budget Android Go smartphones.

There's no way that it'll be a good seller. Not even a single bit.
