Kedar284, 21 Aug 2021Pathetic? Let's take my example, I live in India and... moreEven better VIL where for around Rs.599 you get 84days plan:

1) unlimited calling.
2. 100 Sms/day.
3) 1.5gb + 1.5gb data.
4) unused data rollover for weekends.

The most important one...
5) 12am-6am, unlimited, no data cap
Getting download speeds of 4-5mbps.

Kedar284, 21 Aug 2021Pathetic? Let's take my example, I live in India and... moreYeah, in your country. In my country 1GB costs 10€, 13$ so here we don't use data so much therefore 5g is not as big of a deal as wifi 6 is

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2021True.. UNLIMITED data plans are a misnomer...speed is patheticPathetic?
Let's take my example, I live in India and my carrier is Jio. For (Rs 505 or around 7 $, including discount) it gets me following benefits for 84 days:
      1. Unlimited calls
      2. 100 Sms/day
      3. 1.5 Gb/day (which is kind of unlimited for me)
      4. Live tv, jio music

PS: Talking about spped, fast.com showing my current speed at 57Mbps (without carrier aggregation)

Is there an estimate for how much cheaper (5G) and how much more expensive (4G)?

Msclara, 21 Aug 2021Holy moly, then I understand you, very bad. I just made ... moreThey already doing testing on 6G so probably in 5 years or so we start to get on that. But still be limited in data for contracts. So what will be the point of faster speeds ? Never mind that the download speed gets faster then the storage writing speeds. And what is this you really need to download on mobile data anyways ?

We take for granted the 4G and 5G. There are many countries in this earth where 4G coverage is still not reached to its maximum level. Specially developing and under developed countries. (they are still using 2G or 3G even that with less speeds or coverage)

FatShady, 21 Aug 2021algeriaThen you cannot really complain cause Telecom infrastructure might be low grade

FatShady, 21 Aug 2021algeriaObviously its more useful in developed or emerging countries.

FatShady, 21 Aug 2021i only used 4g like 3 times in my life since it was launche... moreHoly moly, then I understand you, very bad.

I just made a speed test right now.
My download speed is 477Mbps, download 514Mbps og 4g on my Mi 11 ultra.

I had 5g when it came to my country Denmark, but it's same same, so I warn of my battery instead, with this speed it's okay.
So i only set my phones for 4g, in some years in future 5g will be insane.

FatShady, 21 Aug 2021i only used 4g like 3 times in my life since it was launche... moreMan all network speed is country dependable.
While most capitol cities offes 4G, LTE or 5G networks on stable speeds.
Most outskirts countries and villages barely run 3G or 2G.
Such as North Korea, Cuba, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Vietnam many african countries such as Chad or Zimbabwe, Mozambique etc.

I am from Slovakia small country in heart of central europe.
While we have 5G network in one small region like 10x10 km place rest works on 4G and some hilly and mountaineous areas get only 3G networks.

FatShady, 21 Aug 2021i only used 4g like 3 times in my life since it was launche... moreseriously? where are you staying?

i only used 4g like 3 times in my life since it was launched, and i regretted paying for it each time cause its shiit, barely any coverage and speed are below 1mbps.

In 10 years maybe, I‘ll be able to use 5G. They can use 5G chips, no problem, but it‘s not like it will influence my purchase decision whether a phone has 4G or 5G, especially when limited data plans are still the norm.
