yalim, 27 Aug 2021the name itself, for both writing and spellingEven Samsung got butchered by most speakers into 'same-sung' when the correct pronounciation is closer to 'sum-soong'. Wrong pronounciation didn't stop Samsung from becoming known globally, did it?

Nobody in this comment section said that they wanted plastic backs on flagship phones. And even if some people want them because they prefer plastic, how does it affect you? Learn to respect different opinions and preferences. Your behavior is inapt.

[deleted post]Actually, there's another way if you don't have Chinese native speaker friend. Just key in 'shall me' in your Google Translate or any translation engine and hear carefully how it pronounce the words. Even translators can't mess up those words cause they are common words. Then go on Youtube and watch a video about how to pronouce Xiaomi correctly. After comparing the two pronounciations, come here to tell how wrong I am (or correct I am, but I doubt you guys will admit it).

[deleted post]Ah, I see another who can't pronounce Xiaomi correctly but criticise others when giving alternatives to not at least sound ridiculous. I suggest you follow your tryhard friend there and go pronounce Xiaomi as 'shall-me' to a native speaker before blowing off your top. Or, you also can't pronouce 'shall' correctly? Tips: 'Shall' is not pronouced as 'should' in case you are wondering.

Cyberchum, 26 Aug 2021Could you tell us other so-called premium products with gla... moreAny phone that has glass back? Who ever said it has to be so called "premium"? What even is "premium"? LOL? If phone is cheap, you kinda expect them to save on materials like case back. If phone costs almost 1000€, you expect it to have glass back because it's just more durable material than anything else at casual normal use. Sure it fares worse with drops, but doens't ever get worn or heavily scratched like plastic does. And given I don't drop phones around and smash them every month, I'm more concerned over wear and scratches than shattering. It's why I prefer glass. And despite explaining it billion times people here still don't get it.
